Great Vet Not Sexist  5 Star Rating - World class

Over the past 18 years we have had six dogs and are now down to two . Mark Weaver, the "older" vet, and his team are wonderful and I have never found Mark to be sexist (as commented by a previous reviewer). I have never found Mark to be anything but the most professional and knowledgeable when it come to our pets. Through his assistance, one of our dogs lived to be 17 years old after being diagnosed with diabetes at 12. Mark Weaver is smart, kind, and caring. We had occasion to move out of the area to PA and still called Mark for advice. When one of our pups was in distress he gave us his cell phone number so that we could reach him any time of day or night with a problem. He is the best. Im sorry the other reviewer did not get to know him betterhe is the best vet in the Valley!

Ear cropping  5 Star Rating - World class

I recently brought my 9 wk old Dobie to Dr Weaver to get her ears cropped, I was very learly on bringing her to a place I'd never been before (my vet did not do ear cropping) and was referred to by the breeder I bought her from. When I arrived the front desk ladies were very friendly and helpful. Dr Weaver came right in and explained the surgery in detail to me and answered my list of questions, he did not seem to be rushed and was very helpful. He called me as soon as the surgery was over and let me know surgery went great and she's doing fantastic. I picked her up later in the day and Dr Weaver was there again to answer any of our questions we had. I am proud to say I am very pleased w/the results and will start bringing her there and my other 2 dogs to Dr Weaver in the future, it's hard to find a great vet - the drive is sure worth it!!! I highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a friendly and helpful vet who takes the extra time to spend w/you and your family. Thank you so much!!

Best Vet in Phoenix  5 Star Rating - World class

My wife and I moved here from Los Angeles and we were referred to Squaw Peak by the AZ Bulldog Club. Both Dr.'s treat our dogs with love and respect. They are very knowledgable and will spend the extra time answering questions and re-examining the dogs if need be.
We have never had a problem getting an appointment even on the weekends. Our only complaint is that they do not do boarding because we could not think of a better place to leave our dogs while we are out of town!

interesting experience  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

This vet specializes in large breeds. We took our Newfoundland to him when she had a shoulder problem. My husband and I took her and we saw the older male doctor. The vet spoke to my husband the entire time and would not even look at me. When I asked a question, he addressed my husband with the answer. My husband even noticed so he kept looking at me, but the vet did not catch the hint. It was very odd, mostly because I am the one with the science degree who knew what to ask, who directed the questions, and was paying the bill! At the end of the visit he finally looked at me and gave me a wink...
Sexist with a very expensive bill, will not return even though I am sure he is a fantastic large breed doctor.
