Orange Grove Pediatrics

Dr. Tracy Baser-Decker has been my kids primary physician for 6 years now. She is very good at explaining health matters to me and to my older child and diagnosing illnesses. We have seen other practitioners there and while for the most part have had good care, Dr. Decker has taken care of the majority of my kids problems (sometimes on repeat visits when she was not the physician for their initial examination with a particular illness).

We haven't really had problems with their triage or nursing staff. Have had to wait on non critical issues till the end of the day for call backs from triage. Have only had to take my child to urgent care after hours per triage's recommendation.

Have had some billing issues in the past. Nothing too serious.

Pros: Good Doctors and Decent Staff

Cons: Have to pay for after hours triage.

While the doctors are wonderful here, it is very difficult to get any service of any kind from the office or nursing staff. We have waited as much as 24 hours for a call back from the triage line for a sick child. If you miss their call, it will be even longer. We have had to start taking our children to the ER to get seen at all. The office staff is very rude and unsympathetic. I love my child's doctor but will start looking for a place where the service is a bit less like that of a third world country.

Cons: rude office staff, unresponsive nursing staff
