I have to say Dr. Riley and his staff are great. They are very reasonable and they are helpful. I have gone there for more than 10 years and as a kids my parents brought there dogs to Dr. Riley. He is very honest and explains things to you. He takes his time with you and your loved one no matter what.
I would recommend anyone to him, with the type of love they have in that office for the animals is not something you will find somewhere else. The prices are great and you can tell he is not here for the money.
You will never find anyone like him!!!

I agree that he loves animals and runs his business out of that love. He's MUCH more reasonable than MOST vets. I have been taking my pitbulls to him for 12 years. He's the most reasonable for ear croppings & I recommend him to people from all sides of town. Don't be afraid of the Southside! You and your animals will be fine, don't be silly! I know many other places have fancy buildings and colorful paint, but sometimes that's all you will pay for. ($95 dollars for one shot? come on!) There are great Vets who truly love animals on all sides of town, and I just wanted to let you all know that Dr. Riley is one of those Vets.
FOR EXAMPLE: my oldest dogs last visit cost me $200 including the visit, lab/blood work, & antibiotics. I called several places and this same care would have cost $600-$800 most places. This guy does it for love NOT to get RICH. He's awesome!!!

We've been taking our pets to Santa Cruz for several years. Most of the dogs were rescue animals with health problems. A Katrina flood rescue dog with heartworm went through her treatments with ease.
I'd recommend Santa Cruz, the vet there is a hard worker and loves the animals in his care.

The doctor here is the best I have ever seen. You can tell by his deamor that he loves animals. He sees all kinds, not just dogs. I was able to take my dog (found stray) to him. He was able to tell me the breed of my dog, the age and gave him his shots to get him registered. He also explained how to register him. I was happy and made my appointment to have him neutered. I went back and had the operation done. The doctor was fabulous about it. He walked me through what he had done, what to expect and when to call him. The office visit for him is 45.00 and he never tries to sell you the "dog food or drugs" like most vets do. The operation for the nuetering was all of 65.00 and the shots were 20.00. Very reasonably priced!!!
He even let my son take him in on an emergency and let me pay via the phone as I was in another state. I say you will never find a better place to take your pets as here.
