I was taken to Keno with a heart attack. there were approx. 4 doctors and nurse in teh ER taken care of me. One doctor stood out. he was from India and so caring..I always wanted to go to India and love their food so I was still able to talk and talked to him .wonderful people ..next I had a attack. surgar e. but didn't know I had it. and was taken to Keno. they again were great ..I only have medicare for the hospital .and they treated me like I had a special gold card for the hospitals. I will make an appointment again for a renewal for my blood press. pills. at their clinic. love this hospital. and love the staff.

Our family has insurance through UPH and we choose to use it. Kino is more conveniently located so we use their Clinics for our regular appointments. Every time we visit we have an excellent experience with the administration at sign in, the assisting medical staff, and the doctors. Kino has had so many problems over the years, but UPH has really made a HUGE difference in how things are going now. The doctors spend a lot of time with us, which is almost unheard of these days. All the staff are well informed and make sure we are too.

The only people I know stupid enough to go to Kino Hospital are illegals who have no other choice for health care. Medical students who are poorly supervised are what you should expect at this hospital. Anyone with any type of health care avoids this hospital at all costs. Feel free to show up though because the Tucson city council is stupid enough to keep funding this turkey for millions of dollars. Hopefully after the next election we can finally shut this expensive turkey down.

This hospital treated me like solid gold, even tho I was an out of towner, on Medicaid. I could not have asked for better treatment or better care. The facility was clean, the people were great. I am a disabled RN, so I have seen and worked at several hospitals and I was very impressed with this one!

Saw your review. I have suffered depression for 20 years. Kino was the best hospital I was ever in. Even against many expensive private ones. And they were the only one in 20 years that provided follow up care. As to bad hospitals, really bad psychiatric care nothing can match VA Hospitals. Veterans are treated like crap. If you lack alcohol or drug addictions, they don't give you the time of day.
Fact with 99% of psychiactric patients is they shouldn't be hospitalized. The problems should have been dealt with sooner. Don't blame you for giving up on hospitals. I did the same. Cut up my VA ID card and told them to stuff the care. And for the first time in 20 years, my depression is far less than ever. I am attempting to treat the causes of my depression. Pills always were useless.

I voluntarily went into the ER for a simple evaluation, as suggested by my doctor so that I could seen by a specialist and get the medicine I need now instead of waiting several months for an appointment to open up. I was also reassured over and over again, that since I was going on my own free will, they could not keep me there against my will.

They confined me, against my will, alone in a freezing cold room. Gave me a blanket with a piece of dried mucous on it the size of my hand. They kept me confined in this room for 6.5 hours. They would not allow me to see my husband or 12 week old daughter the whole time. After being informed that I am breastfeeding her, they still refused (it was "protocol" to confine all psych patients) They took my phone, wouldn't allow me to call other family members, or my therapist. The room I was confined to was FILTHY. A giant piece of poop on the floor under the toilet. The tile grout was full of black mold

They took away my service dog while he was actively working to manage my symptoms which were being caused by their abuse, and told me that he couldn't be there. That I could have no one and no thing in the room with me. They violated federal law in doing that, and hopefully the law will come crashing down on those moron's heads. I will never set foot in any hospital after this. I hope Kino hospital is fined heavily and shut down forever so they never traumatize an innocent person ever again. This is being reported to every agency I can think of.

This place is totally unsanitary, and horrible. They violate your civil rights. If you are a psych patient, especially stay away because they will treat you like some kind of filthy animal.

This hospital has improved dramatically as I highly recommend it now. They have top notch doctors and nurses there that REALLY know what they are doing. They also have a clinic there with great people to help you. I like it because there is no waiting weeks to see a doctor and you are pretty much in and out. I highly recommend taking advantage of all the services this place has to offer. If you must be seen at a hospital, this is the place to go. No waiting. That is the best.
Great service. Great people. And if you are like me, you don't like waiting and these people get you in and out in a jiffy.
It is just great. The staff is highly trained so you feel very comfortable to be treated by very knowledgeable staff. Thanks.
