i love this place its always comforting to not know where to eat and then remember this place. its one of the few places in town i can always count on to have delicious food great prices and friendly staff the clowns are a little odd but i believe it adds the the down home style of the place. i can always count on the helpful staff to make things just how i order them and they always have vegetarian substitutes for everything. my experience here has always been a good one.

The Landmark Cafe is a local landmark because of its fetish for clowns! When I went there, they had them hanging from the rafters, and seated in the windows. Even the bathroom had clowns! My husband tells me they've actually cut down on the clown decor since the first time he went there. I think it's kind of cute, and our 6-year-old daughter really enjoyed looking around at all the different clowns. Fortunately, she's not scared of them anymore.

We went there for breakfast. The service was fantastic. They even had a REAL high chair, with a tray and everything.

My family liked their pancakes and eggs and bacon. I got wheat pancakes, but they weren't cooked as much as I liked, a common problem with pancake houses for some reason.

Overall, I would go back again, but it's not the best pancake joint I've ate at, which is why it just gets a "satisfactory" rating from me.

If you have an aversion to clowns, don't choose the Landmark Cafe for your next meal. The decor consists of every shape and size of clown, from dolls, hanging mobiles, to dishes and mugs, as well as autographed pictures of famous clowns.
The menu has variety and the food is good. Weekends are very busy and there is sometimes a wait. But the Landmark Cafe supports local organizations by offering $2 all you can eat pancakes on Saturday a month, with profits going to the organization.

The one downside to Landmark-The clowns. If you don't mind being surrounded by clowns in all forms then you'll be comfortable in the Landmark. I've been numerous times for breakfast. The food is exactly what you want when you are craving a good old fashioned breakfast. I hear that their burgers are good as well as just about everything else. The prices are excellent and you get a lot for your dollar. If you are going for breakfast, go early, or late. They have a tremendous rush on the weekends. Sometimes you have to wait a bit for service, but that's only when it's super crowded. Everyone is pretty friendly. We like to sit outside, for obvious reasons.

Pros: food, prices, staff

Cons: clowns, clowns, busy

When we went the waitress was completely rude. Service was terrible! We got there and hour and a half before they closed, and they told us to seat ourselves. Forty minutes later our waitress noticed us. A portly woman whose every other sentence was "we are closing soon", took our order, and only showed up again when our food was ready. We had to flag her down to get ketchup, and she just kept saying "we are closing soon", as if that was an excuse. The clowns all over the place are gaudy and overdone, and the food was good, but not spectacular. Needless to say I wont be back.
