I can understand you being upset about how the manager handled your question, however why would you think it had something to do with your RACE? It seems to me as tho YOUR the one who is racist. Also why wouldent you have looked up a question like that BEFORE buying an animal. And so what that your in medical school? That actually scares me that someone who could be taking care of me or my loved ones dosent even know how a chicken lays eggs!!!! really, really SCARY!! You shouldent bash someones business because you dident take the responsibility of being a decent pet owner and learning about your new pet. grow up.

I purchased chicken food for the first time. Never have i previously owned a chicken so i had questions about the laying of eggs and such. When i asked about how the chickens lay their eggs, the owner looked at me and said, "do you need an education? this is common sense..." and continued. I bit my tongue to not snap back because that was a rude remark. I'm hispanic, so of course thoughs of racism come to mind. Im in medical school, i deal with human beings, not chickens so my question was a sincere honest question...he did not have to be rude and question my education. i will not return there nor would i recommend going.

The sales staff at Mesa Feed Barn are very rude and have no idea about the products or pricing. I had a terrible experience in person and on the phone. Will never shop here again.

I bought some chicks from Mesa Feed Barn last January and were very impressed. The chicks were healthy, strong and ended up being great producers. We never had a problem with them at all. The staff was helpful in making my choice, no pressure at all. They recommended the feed I would need and before I even paid for it, the man loaded it into my car for me. I love the personal touch. I have since purchased more chicks here, and know I am getting a good deal, cause I have shopped around! Much impressed!

We have several pets and feeding them can be very expensive, even if you shop at Walmart. I like going to this place because you can get slightly higher than Walmart prices and EXCELLENT customer service. They have high quality dog food in large quantities. I am not sure if they take coupons though. The also have other pet supplies like bowls and hygiene supplies. They also have a big parking lot so no crowded parking.

PROS: Great prices on Bulk
CONS: Not sure if they take coupons

We have 2 large dogs besides numerous cats and the misc. stray my kids come home with so this place works out good for us. I don't feed my dogs crap food. I love them and my kids love them and we don't want to shorten their lives,but we can't afford to buy them real expensive stuff. This store offers really great prices on the large 50lb bags of high quality food. They have a lot of other animal feed (sheep,goat, etc.) and they have great parking and are convenient if you are out in Mesa. They also have a lot of leashes and bowls and stuff. I save money getting the food here instead of lage discount stores.
