Kachina Animal Hospital

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

My dog has arthritis. For 3 years he gets periodic Depo Medrol injections 20mg. He has been to 3 other vets in that time. Colorado and 2 in Arizona. New to the area Thurs I stopped in, spoke to the 2 ladies manning the office. Told them what my dog needed. Showed them his latest itemized bill from vet in Sun City. Was told he would be required to have an exam with the shot. Not so for existing patients.

I have paid between $18.00 and $25.00 per injection at the other vets. I was told the combined charges would be in the mid $60.00 range. I said ok. Scheduled an appointment for the next day. Those ladies were not there when I arrived. After the briefest most cursory examination followed by the injection, I went to pay on my way out. I WAS PRESENTED WITH A BILL OVER $114.00. A VERY RUDE AND ETHICALLY CHALLENGED OFFICE MANAGER SAID SHE DIDN'T CARE WHAT I WAS TOLD YESTERDAY. THOSE PEOPLE WEREN'T HERE TODAY. SHE IS HERE AND I OWE OVER $114.00!!! THEY CHARGE $67.00 FOR THE INJECTION WHICH CAN BE HAD IN NUMEROUS VETERINARY OFFICES FOR LESS THAN 1/3 THAT PRICE. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. IF MY EXPERIENCE IS ANY INDICATION YOU ARE BEING VASTLY OVERCHARGED.

TEST ON YOU WHAT HAPPENED TO ME. GET YOUR RECORDS AND CALL OTHER VETS. THE PRICE DIFFERENCE ON THIS ONE VISIT ALONE WOULD HAVE MORE THAN JUSTIFIED TAKING MY DOG TO HIS VET IN SUN CITY. I WOULD HAVE SAVED OVER $60.00 AFTER GAS COSTS AND VET CHARGES. WORD TO THE WISE. RESEARCH THIS FOR YOURSELF AND I THINK YOU WILL BE SHOCKED AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY.

I've been taking my pets to Kachina Animal Hospital for years. I've never had a bad experience or feel I've been over charged like Mandy S. is talking about. In fact, I've always felt that the doctor was very kind and compassionate. The receptionist and the assistants were professional and truly cared about my pets. My spouse and I got married last year and we left our pets there while we were gone. They congratulated us and took our pets in like they were their own. When we got back, our pets were clean and well fed. I was so happy to see that everything was just fine while we were gone. I would recommend this animal hospital to any one.

One of finest in Prescott, Kachina offers the normal pet services, but they also do fantastic surgerys and dental for dogs cats, rabbits, etc. Dr. Lynn is the best vet I know. She is so professional. They also have a pharmacy and the doc is on call 24 hours a day, so if you have an emergency, she is right there. I have never used the kennels, but the place is so clean and they love animals so much, I would feel secure leaving my pets.

I highly recommend Kachina Animal Hospital because of the experience of the Vet and the friendliness of the staff. I felt totally at ease and comfortable with my pet there. I know we got the best care at a good price and I will always go back.
They answered my questions and took time to be sure I understood everything before taking my pet home.

There is plenty of parking and the office has a friendly atmosphere to it.

CONS: no cons
