I've been taking my pets to this clinic for 15 years. Dr. Ansems (and Dr. Houser) is very caring and completely understanding of the financial strain taking care of our pets can put on us. She goes thru every detail in a way that is easy to understand so that we can make informed decisions for our pet's care. My 18 pound cat is so comfortable in the clinic that he prefers to be be out of his carrier so he can stretch out on the table and be loved by the staff, even after having painful surgery. I have yet to run into any staff that isn't wonderful. I highly recommend VCA Phoenix West Animal Hospital. If you do have a problem with staff or anything else, be sure to talk with someone. It's hard enough when our babies are sick, you need to love your vet.

Dr. Mccormick is the worst---she will make you feel bad that you can't afford all she's suggested & she'll talk down to you as if you don't know anything!
They will turn you into the EAMP--AZ Human Society if you decline services. People that have been allowed to take their parvo riden pet home to die b/c they can't afford services but a non life threatening limp is cruel.
This vet is a shame to her office. The moment we walked in she criticized our dog---how short his ears were cut! A retired vet from her office cut them 9 years ago!
Under law we decline services for ourselves (not go to the doctor for more than a year b/c no $$) but you'll get a ticket if you decline services you don't agree with for your animals.
If you choose to use this clinic see Houser or Anslem.
