5 Stars: Juan's Authentic Mexican Food is FANTASTIC! (by j c.)

I drove by Juan's hundreds of times and never gave it a second thought, it is a very nondescript building. It doesn't look like a hole in the wall or a dive, it's just rather bland looking. The inside is clean, typical tables, benches and chairs of smaller family type restaurants. Finally one time I didn't just drive by. The food is FANTASTIC. The prices are very reasonable, and the service is excellent. This is truly one of those never judging a book by it's cover instances. No it's not a fancy place, but it also doesn't try to pretend to be. If you want ambiance and mood, go to those types of restaurants, but if you want great Mexican cuisine served with a smile, then I absolutely recommend Juan's!

5 Stars: Awesome authenticity--great taste! (by John N.)

From the outside, this looks like a little hole in the wall (thought they are now expanding), but inside this family run restaurant is some of the finest Mexican cuisine you can find in the valley at a very reasonable price. I generally opt for a grilled chicken burro prepared "enchilada style" for a truly heavenly taste.

5 Stars: great food (by sandy c.)

Everytime I am in PHX, I have to stop here. The food is great and it really is authentic mexican food. The staff is also very nice and know most of their customers by their first names. I would recommend this place to everyone.

4 Stars: GREAT! (by Kelli E.)

Juan's is GREAT. When I was in high school the building was an Ohio themed sports bar and the building still leaves a little to be desired and the inside definately smacks of sports bar of the past, but the food at Juan's is WONDERFUL the atmosphere is good and the service is EXCELLENT. Juan's food is amazing and priced VERY reasonably. If you want a great inexpensive meal served by very nice people this is the place for you.

4 Stars: Excellent authentic food (by Bill H.)

Juan's is one of those places that doesn't look very nice but the food is fantastic. Authentic is the key word. The surroundings and furniture might not appeal to many guests but if you're looking for great Mexican food and a very reasonable price, try Juan's.

PROS: Great authentic Mexican food, small price
CONS: Surroundings, decor
