A message from Cucina Tagliani

Our Story The Tagliani Family welcomes you to our "Cucina". In Italian, "Cucina" means "kitchen". If your house is like ours, when family and friends get together, the kitchen is the place everyone wants to be! In 1993, there were just a handful of restaurants in North Glendale/Peoria. Today there are over 185; nearly a dozen Italian and 99% are National Chains. We are Family Owned and Operated. So what sets Cucina Tagliani, the "David", (Indulge me for a minute) apart from the Corporate "Giants?" I will give 2 reasons. 1. Our Food. We actually COOK from scratch; a fading tradition in this age of flash freezing, institutionally prepared and shipped foods. We make every Sauce, Soup, Dressing, Stock and Dessert fresh every morning. Every meatball is rolled by hand and every loaf of bread lovingly brushed with olive oil. (I asked for indulgence) We have let you "Build Your Own" Pasta Bowl since 1993, long before Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill got the idea. Hmm, from where I wonder? "You can tell by the smell!" Nana Tagliani used to say. We think that you'll know by the taste. 2. Our Family. We actually CARE. We are always looking for the friendliest faces in town to make you feel like you're at home. We are here to serve you fresh, flavorful food in a fun, friendly family setting. (Try to say that after a bottle of Chianti!) We thank you for choosing Cucina Tagliani and wish you "Buona Fortuna" and "Mangia Bene"! Good Luck and Eat Well! Join the Family@ www.myspace.com/cucinatagliani

A cute place to take the family  4 Star Rating - Very good

Ok, we all can admit the food industry has its ups and downs, but I have no idea where this guy ate, because me and my family of 12 all loved it. Due to the expansion of the internet everyone is now a critic, so you need to be careful where you get your information.

We had a reservation for Saturday night, we were greeted by this cute little hostess, and my favorite Dean Martin song. We got to our table, was introduced by some ciabatta bread which was awesome! The waitress came the minute after, who took our tall drink order, and was back in a flash with a helper who brought all 12 drinks at once, that was nice.

When dinner came I had ordered the Chicken Parmesan, and it was so tender and juicy, perfect amount of breading, covered in mozzarella, yummy!. The pasta was tossed with the marinara, and not swimming in the sauce like other places. I had the dinner portion which came with two chx breasts so I had to them box the rest for me, which she was happy to do for me.

For desert i ordered the chocolate cake because everyone I know talks about it. And let me tell ya, they were so right, I ordered some milk to accompany this tower of cake with a mixture of raspberries and strawberries was EXCELLENT! This also was big, so I had that boxed up too.

The check came for 12 people and honestly was not as high as I thought it would be. Take your family and enjoy this cute place

AVOID AT ALL COSTS  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I can't believe this restaurant is still in business. The service was terrible from the moment we walked in the door when despite having made a reservation they attempted to squeeze 5 of us into a booth for 2 or 3 at most. The food was worse and not only cold and flavorless but downright rancid. The mozarella in the caprese salad was yellowed and dry as a bone..chewy like rubber..absolutely nothing like fresh mozarella. The scallops were the smallest and chewiest I've ever experienced...even the chicken in my son's alfredo was extremely old-tasting, over-cooked and rubbery. I wouldn't send my worst enemies here.
