I used to frequent pasta Brioni's many years ago when Brioni (Brian) was the primary owner and John Gianinni (Gino) was the GM along with 'Big Mike'. Over time Gino had become the owner and I am not sure what has happened to the qauality. The prices went up dramatically and the food quality is not the same anymore. Being an italian from Brooklyn I can appreciate great food. No longer at this venue. Gino has undergone intensive drug addiction therapy and can not oversee the venue half the time because of this. They hire "dumb tennie boppers" to operate the 'to-go' side and and its not a nice atmosphere to be in listening to the sound of an adolecent girl cackling. If you go later at night they complain of how its slow and they want to close in front of the customer. It does not make it a nice experience. I have ate in the dining area as well and they dont acknowedge the repeat customers anymore with a complimentary foccacia. There is a high turnover with servers now as well. Beware of false information given over the phone about happy hour. Gino or staff will only honor false information provided to you if you are a female and inbetween the ages of 18 and 35 with a low cut shirt and willing to be provocative. Its not the same as it used to be.

I was looking for a place to hold my mother's 75th birthday celebration and coordinating the event from out of town; after reviewing many sites & menu's on-line then discovered Bobbi @ Pasta Brioni's in Scottsdale what a delight! So accomodating to welcome my family and friends it was the perfect venue! Easy access to the location, beautiful on the inside, wonderful wine, excellent food. Extremely professional top notch staff - Kudos to Peter! and to the rest of the staff for creating wonderful memories for our family and friends - the event flowed so wonderfully - Thank you Peter for your amazing service and for being the captain of our event - we were well taken care of and all flowed so smoothly. Bobbi and family, I would put your team up against any 5-star - THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU!!!!!\r
I highly recommend Pasta Brioni's.

Pros: Professional staff, committed to top dining experience

Cons: We weren't allowed to take the waiters home

The firat thing people always say about this restaurant is how cute the waiters are. Sorry but I go to a restaurant for the food not the eye candy. The food here is satisfactory, worth a try but there are better places to eat.

9 times out of 10, when you ask someone about Pasta Brioni the first thing they mention is "hot waiters", not how delicious the food is. Perhaps this is because the food is only average. I've had both pasta & pizza from this restaurant and I was not impressed. If an Italian eatery can't do pasta or pizza right, I have a hard time justifying a return visit.

My daughter and my wife reserved a table for a party of 20 for PROM.\r
They went there personally to look at the options.. chose the cute patio off the bar where there were fans and sprinklers due to the possibility of hot evening and the setting . When they booked the reservation the manager told them there were no other parties booked and they could have the patio or if it was hot they would move the kids in doors. \r
WHen they arrived they had booked the lovely little patio to SOMEONE ELSE and put all the kids in their formal wear on a HOT UGLY patio\r
with plastic chairs and an old wood fence - no fans - no sprinklers HORRIBLE experience ! If they would have at least told them ahead of time they may have been able to change the reservation, but they did not have the decency to do that. WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN \r
Pasta Brioni RUINED one of the life events for my daugter.... what \r
AWEFUL people to treat our youth with such disrespect.

We went here based on other good reviews here on City Search and were not disappointed! My husband and I went for a late dinner on a Friday night around 9:00 and there were plenty of tables available without a wait. Our server, Chad, was very friendly and had excellent recommendations! He recommended an excellent alternative to a Pinot Grigio for myself and a good Merlot for my husband that we were both happy with and we're big wine drinkers, so we were pleasantly surprised. We had the mussels as an appetizer and they were excellent! They did take a short while to come out, so Chad brought us a complimentary order of bruschetta, very nice of him. We shared the scallop ""special"" for the entree, which came with a side of griled vegetables. Both very good, but I preferred the mussels. We ordered some sorbet to finish things up and Chad also brought two orders of sorbet free of charge for our wait with the mussels. This is a good restaurant with a great environment, very ""little Italy"" feel and EXCELLENT service. The pricing isn't ""cheap"", then entrees range from $15-$33, but the portions are large and you can share. A good find close to home, we will be back!

Pros: Excellent service, ample parking

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS meatballs and raviolis. Their menu is simple, just the classics, food tasted extremely fresh, sauces were fantastic. Nice atmosphere- dimly lit and not super loud. Deserts were great. Not that expensive. Doesn't look like much on the outside but quickly became one of my favorite places to go for italian.**But, I later had their food to go and it was awful! Pasta with no sauce, salad with little to no dressing, rock hard rolls. I highly recommend NOT EATING THEIR TAKEOUT. I think its because the takeout has an entirely different kitchen, really is nothing like their fantastic food they have if you eating at the restaurant .

Pros: Fresh and delicious food, fast service, good atmosphere

Cons: Horrible ""To-Go"" Food- not the same at all

I've been eating at Pasta Brioni's now for about 3 years. The service is always top notch, helpful and friendly. The food is equally great. I would love to explore some of the other items on the menu but I can't stay away from the Rigatoni Con Pollo. Let's put it this way, Pasta Brioni's is so good I had to divorce my wife for telling me she didn't like the food there and that she would rather go to a chain italian food restaurant whose name I wont mention.

Cons: That this place can make or break a marriage

Pros: Excellent Food, plenty of parking, great service.

Cons: Small

.

Very mediocre Italian fare. The house Chianti is certainly the best part, but the pasta which should always be al'dente is basically a wet noodle. And the tomato sauce is over sweet and does not taste fresh. Meatballs, mush. For me, if you can't at least prepare spaghetti & meatballs well, forget it. I suppose this would pass for Italian-American food, but don't expect fresh tasting, authentic Italian style cooking. However, the staff is friendly and accommodating.

We went to Pasta Brioni expecting pretty good Italian food. We ended up getting fantastic Italian food AND excellent service! As soon as we walked in, the server informed us about the 1/2 price dinner menu and house wines is we were to eat at the bar. It is every Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. The bartender/server Tanya was so gracious and friendly! The DaVinci Pizza was incredible, as well as the penne Arbiatta. They also make an amazing martini there too. If you're in Scottsdale, you have got to make it a point to eat here. It is a definite new favorite!

The food is very good. After making a reservation on the phone and talking to the person on the phone (John said it must have been Michael who has been there for 10 yrs since it wasn't him I talked to on Sat.), my group of 6 decided to make a reservation in the bar to take advantage of the 1/2 off drinks and 1/2 off entrees in the bar on monday night (sep 5). Originally, I called and made a reservation in the dining room. When I called back to find it was 1/2 off in the bar, I asked if we could convert our reservation to the the bar to take advantage of their happy hour. "Yes, No Problem" I was told. So... after getting a bill with no 1/2 off prices I consulted the "Managing Partner" on Duty John Giannini, he explained that the 1/2 off was only if you were seated "at the bar", not "in the bar". This was not explained to me on the phone so I asked John to honor what his employee told me on the phone. He would not honor it and he would not let me talk to the real owner. Because of this VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, I would not recommend this place to anyone. In fact if you want superior Italian food INCLUDING SERVICE, go to Nick's instead. At Nick's they do not disrespect their customers.
PS I use to frequent Brioni's 8 yrs ago when I lived in the neighborhood and never had this negative experience in the past... Has the daily management changed????
Perhaps what John the "managing partner", does not realize (or probably does not care) is that for each person at my party, we will be telling 10 or more of our friends not to go there... that's 60+ potential new customers lost....

PROS: Waiter; Food
CONS: Manager John Giannini; Customer Service

On a one to ten scale, this place is a 12! Waiters are fantastic, ambiance is great, and the food is to die for. Prices are very resonable, too. This is a hidden treasure. Great place for a first date! If you want true authentic Italian food, this is the place hands down. My Favorite.

You know it's fast when, "It's here already?!" is said! Super fast delivery and the food was packaged very nicely. The Meatball Grinder and the Chipotle Chicken Wrap along with the pasta salad sides were all very tasty and very filling.
