Toni & Guy Hairdressing

My experience at Toni & Guy Hairdressing at the Foothills Mall less than satisfactory more times than not. Finding a good colorist is challenging and it seems that the single process hair dye fades very quickly. There are many young hair stylists there who have great potential but lack experience. It appears that they are taught to cut hair a certain way and are unable to "think outside the box." Case in point: texturized haircuts do not work for my particular type of hair and no matter how much I tell them NOT to texturize my hair they ALWAYS do! Frequent comments are "I'll just texturize it a little bit." When I get home and style my hair I find that it's been over texturized and it takes months to grow out. I have had to go back for corrections a few times in the two years I've been going there. My last haircut was uneven, I went back to have it straightened out and it was still uneven! I would expect more from a $50. haircut from a stylist who probably has three years of cutting experience at best. Service is always good though and the staff is friendly.

Awlays have great service and awesome haircuts / styles here. Erin always cuts my hair and Linda deals with any color that I may have. Would recommend these two artists to anyone. Go and check them out!

I have been going to the Foothills T&G for about a decade now. It has changed over time; it is much busier now that it used to be. I go to the same stylist, although his schedule is so full that you need to literally make an appointment months in advance. You're lucky if you can get an appointment only weeks in advance (with him, anyway). The results are worth the wait, though. He is a great stylist and I'm always happy with the cut.

Color is a different story, though. I have never had a good colorist. I've had highlights done once and lowlights twice, but the results have always been dissatisfactory. I've gone to different colorists each time, too.

I have been to this place 2 times now and each time I was pretty pleased with the outcome. I only got a haircut each time, no hair coloring or treatments, but they do a decent job and it is definitely better to get one of the older guys to cut your hair, they do a better job.

I've had some god and bad experiences but overall I enjoy going to them. I've been a loyal customer for about 3 years because they seem to understand my taste. I also went to Gadabout but they were overpriced.

I go to the T&G up at the Foothills Mall and have Felix and Gio as my preferred stylists..mainly for highlights. They have been there longer than the newer people who don't seem to be very friendly at all. Last time I went they had so many people there that the stylists without something to do would just talk and stare at customers. It was very uncomfortable for me last time.

PROS: been with them a while so they know my tastes
CONS: newer people are not as friendly
