I have had work done at the Car Repair Company several times and they have been excellent each time. They are honest and reliable and give you a complete low down on exactly what is wrong and needs to be fixed. They are very passionate about cars and can explain exactly what is wrong so that you can understand it. They have done an excellent job each time I have used them and even helped me out when I went to another shop and had a problem. They are the best.

I went on the internet to look for a car repair shop with good ratings so I would get good service and not be scammed. Car Repair Company had high ratings so I decided to take my car to them for service before my extended service plan ended.

When they first called me back, they said that my car needed over $4000 in repairs. I told them that I was low on funds, since I was disabled and that I could only have work done that the insurance would cover.

I was told that my insurance company would pay for front and rear struts, but they would not pay for the mounts. They told me I needed to get this done as the mounts were worn out. I have a statement from them for a total cost of $647.21.

I called my insurance company to find out why they would not pay for the mounts and they told me I did not have the highest coverage that would coverage that would cover the mounts. They also told me that car repair quoted a much lower price than what they told me for the parts.

Car repair also told me that if I did not have the work done when I had the struts replaced, that I would have to pay separate labor costs and that that would be much more money.

I asked my son to come with me to talk to them because I felt they were trying to take advantage of me. He looked up the cost of the mounts and saw that the cost was much lower. They told him to get off their property and that they would only deal with me. I wanted to get my car so my son called the police. The owner was getting in my sons face and telling him to get off the property. The police did come and I got my car that day.

I took my car to a Suzuki dealership to get an estimate on the work that needed to be done. They told me that only the front struts were bad. Again, I was upset because an adjuster from my insurance company had come out to car repair and had said that the rear struts had failed the strut test.

My insurance company had told me not to tell Suzuki what was wrong with my car, so I did that. Because I was upset that the rear struts were not going to be replaced, I called up my insurance company and asked if they would honor the agreement for what they would repair at Car Repair Company. They agreed to do that.

I was going to take it back to Car Repair to have the work done and I had it set up, but I felt I should talk to my son before doing so as he had supported me. He and my whole family definitely did not want me to go back to Car Repair.

I called my insurance company and told them how my family felt and I asked them if they would cover both the front and rear struts at Suzuki. They agreed to do this.

To make a long story short, none of the mounts had to be replaced that Car Repair Company wanted me to pay for and that they said needed to be replaced. They wanted $647.21 for work that did not need to be done. The parts at Suzuki were $367.60 and they wanted $463.54 plus a whole bunch of added fees which brought it up to $647.21. They had shop supplies and labor, which both they and my insurance company said there should not be any if the work was done at the same time as the struts were replaced.

I have proof of all this on paper. If they tried to do this to me, what have they done to others. They picked on the wrong lady to scam this time

I have been using these guys for years....I had to write in response to the "RIP OFF ALERT" complaint. This shop is well run and I have always found the owner friendly and courteous. The shop is the cleanest shop I have ever seen and do not find it in a "run down condition". What does a chain link fence have to do with quality service?...Nothing! The fence is for security pouproses only. The staff has always been fast and friendly. AAA Approved means alot to me when shopping for service....and you can really trust The Car Repair Company, I do!

This place is a scam. They are a AAA shop, and I took my car in for service. I needed an alternator changed, and was quoted $314 for the part, $154 labor. I have a 2000 Ford f-150. I inquired on the price of the part, and was told they "only use the highest quality, brand new parts", and that was why the price was so high. Checker, across the street, had alternators for over $100 less. She gave me the part number, Remy 23658, and I asked for her manager, knowing it was a remanufactured part. The owner called me an a$$hole for complaining about the price, and said "yeah its a new part --- New to your car". Duh... Avoid this place at all costs. BTW, the owner is a cocky jerk who drives a brand new caddy on 20 inch rims. The shop looks run down in appearance, and has crabgrass and dirty chain link fence all around. I wonder where all my money is going???

The staff is the best that I have seen in any car repair shop. They are very proffessional and helpful too. Their charges are way much lesser than any of the other places I have enquired about any problem. The first time I was here when I had an issue with my transmission system and the repair cost from all other places was very high. I got the lowest from here and it worked out to be pretty fine. Haven't had a problem about it till now. For all other minor issues also, I now prefer going over to this place.

This place is amazing! We were told at another place it would 1,000 to fix our car. We took our car here for a 2nd opinion and it turned out being a minor $100 problem. They are so honest and wonderful here we've been going here ever since. The inside is like a alittle car musuem and they even offer free shuttles. They also have the sweetest dog Brandy to keep you company : ) Their receptionist , Amanda is wonderful too, she is always smiling and makes sure you leave smiling too!!

PROS:
CONS: none
