Ratings_icons Honest Opinion about this dealership

Kaleb s.

Over the years, my wife an I have had numerous vehicles that we have purchased both new and preowned. We had developed a phobia of car dealerships and were terrified of purchasing a new vehicle. Just the thought of having to spend three hours at the dealership waiting until the sales guys talk to their managers behind closed doors making customers wait just makes me feel nauseous. I would have to say that this dealership is different; however, I must clarify that we went directly to the fleet manager instead of the guys sitting in front of the store. So my opinion may be different than those I have previously read. We purchased a preowned/certified lexus RX 350 and were very cautious, just because it was preowned. The price was below what we were expecting to pay. We were even able to purchase an extended warranty as if the vehicle was brand new. On top of that after we submitted the loan documents, the dealership said that they were able to get a better rate and actually negotiated with the lender on our behalf saving us an entire years worth of payments. In addition to this, we experienced a broken headlight washer on the front bumper. The dealership set us up with a car rental and the part was replaced within a week. I would highly recommend the dealership to anyone who has had bad experiences with dealerships and wants an honest deal!

Ratings_icons Earnhardt Toyota Scion is Fantastic

I've had to deal with car sales people for years on both a personal and business level and have never enjoyed it until I went to Earnhardt Toyota at superstition springs in Mesa,AZ. I was made to feel extremely comfortable along with feeling my salesman, Scott Clark, did everything in his power to get me the best deal with out taking all day. I enjoyed working with him and walked out feeling as if I made the right choice. I will definitely mention his name to anyone who is looking for a car!!!!

Ratings_icons BEST PURCHASE EVER

We were pleasantly surprised from the time we entered the Fleet/Internet building. The sales staff was very professional and knew the product well. They made us feel comfortable and did everything possible to get us the Right Deal! Earnhardt Toyota deserves special recognition for the people they employ, especially Paul Fox, and the integrity they bring to the automobile business. We will definitely be sending friends their way whenever possible.

Ratings_icons TERRIBLE SERVICE/BAD EXPERIENCE!!!!!

I was getting ready to return a BMW lease and was looking into the Highlander. When I arrived to the dealership, there had to be about 6 salesman that just sat in their chair looking at me, no one willing to assist me. Finally when one person did come to greet me, he definately did not take me serious in purchasing a car. I told him exactly what I was looking for and to my dismay, I knew more about the Highlander than he did. I could not believe how uncomfortable I felt there. Then when I got ready to leave the salesman saw I was serious about buying a car, he freaked and went to get a manager to keep me from leaving. Some manager tried to come by and be friendly to keep me in the store. Too little too late guys, I was reffered by someone to check out the other dealership Big Two Toyota, and that my friends was the best experience ever. I ended up purchasing a 2008 fully loaded limited edition highlander at Big Two, so ANYONE interested in a Toyota stay away from Earnhardt(save yourself the trouble), and go to Big Two, its worth it

Ratings_icons Tex there's plenty of Bull

I recently looked for a car for my daughter and test drove a used car with a salesman that was very pleasant and was not pushy. But when we told him that we weren't deciding today that we were going to mull over several different autos he told me to wait a minute while he was going to look up a couple of other of the same type of car. Meanwhile an extremely pushy Sales manager came over and wanted me to buy the car right then and if I didn't I wouldn't get the internet discount that was available to everyone with a computer. So once again a bald-faced lie. This was before the banks went belly up. So this is your supervisor? You can deal with them, but be informed and go in with a gameplan and stick to it. I'm afraid that the average person wil be turned off by these guys.

Ratings_icons Hey, Tex I would get your name off the Earnhardt Dealerships

When I bought my Scion Xb I had a great experience buying it at Superstition Scion, but that was before the take over by Earnhardt. The day before I bought the Xb I really wanted the new Dodge Nitro, but like one of the other reviews, it became a nightmare at the Dodge dealership. We had Sales Manager Lie to us and then would change their stories. After four hours of negotiations our salesman told us it was a done deal and we got the Dodge Nitro at the price we wanted to pay. Then the salesman brought the contract agreement for us to sign and the price was $3000 dollars higher then what we agreed upon. So very frustrated with all that happened and very upset, the Sales Manager again lieing through his teeth and finally saying there was nothing more they could do he left us just standing there. Our salesman wouldn't even come back into the room we were in. I did try to get in touch with one of the Earnhardts to let them know how bad an experience we had, but there was no known way to contact any of them, even by e-mail. So I HIGHLY suggest you buy your vehicles at any other dealership and stay away from Earnhardts. Oh by the way Tex, if you want to get a hold of me, my last name is Shroyer and you can reach me through you Scion Dealership or mshroyer@cox.net , I have had my XB for a year now.

Ratings_icons Poor customer service

My wife and I were looking at buying a new Toyota Sienna for our growing family. We were attracted by a private invitation for current Toyota owners from the former owner Superstition Toyota. The first line salesman Frank was nice in showing us the different minivans they have in their newly built multi-level garage. They didn't have exactly model, color, and leather trim of the minivan we wanted, but we decided to sit down anyways and see what Earnhardt has to offer. The quote came out. We were shocked by the inflated pricing Earnhardt wanted us to pay. Earnhardt started to parade 6 different salesmen with different stories (they are really lies) on why we should pay the high price ($29,141 for a Toyota Sienna CE with leather and DVD system) and how lucky we were to be able to pay the high price associated with dealer add-ons like autobod $699 and alarm system $699. By the way, autobod is expensive wax job for the car. When my wife and I stuck to our guns on the TMV price from Edmunds website, the salesmen started telling us we were stupid. They started the attacks and made us feel very small. The next day we went to a Honda dealer and bought a Honda Odyssey EX at invoice price.
I just want to Thank Earnhardt for making us a Honda customer. And that is No Bull like their commercial.
Needless to say, we are very unsatisfied with Earnhardt Toyota's "lack of" customer service.

My daughter's friend was sold a car that was not AMA CERTIFIED! She was told to return the car and she would be given another one. Unfortunately, things changed when they both got there yesterday, February 17, 2008. The sales gentlemen who sold her the car (anonymous) told her that they no longer had that type of vehicle and tried to put her in another vehicle with a higher monthly payment to her dismay. He then proceeded to say that he could take off some of her warranties so that the payments would remain the same on another vehicle. Since my daughter's friend has very little knowledge about buying cars; my daughter proceeded to tell him, "no, why would she want to take off the warranties," and he said, "that she (buyer) did not plan on keeping the car long anyway." Not true. My daughter proceeded to find another salesmen who did find her a vehicle similar to the one she had. I asked her how on earth did they sell her a vehicle non AMA certified; and notified her two weeks later after having the car? It is a shame people are so money driven to the point where they will take advantage, if they can, of someone who knows very little about cars. If this is the same salesman who sold her the vehicle; I am going to look into having a higher up review her paperwork and go over what she was told by this "scandalous"salesman who apparently is like a greedy fish just waiting to bite and who has bitten perhaps more than one fish because of his sales tactic. It makes me question the other salesmen, too. This is not over with. The next time she returns the car, I will be with her. Perhaps 3 on your side needs to look into this!

Great improvement since Earnhardt took over from the old Toyota Dealer. Service has improved dramatically. My Service Consultant Jay McHone was pleasant and my yellow service was completed in about 75 minutes. With the prior dealership it was close to two and a half hours to get the same work done and there was zero customer service. I vowed not to purchase another Toyota from Superstition Springs Toyota since their service was extremely disappointing. You are winning me back as a customer. Keep up the good work!

The location is great right off the 60. The selection is large. There is both a new and used lot. The salesman are very pushy and dont take no for an answer. We felt really uncomfortable shopping here. They also didnt give us the best deal .Since we are a young married couple, they assumed too much.

Ratings_icons Great service department

I have been taking my '97 Toyota 4-Runner to this dealer for the past 5 years and have never walked away disappointed. Garett has been my service advisor the entire time so turn over with employees is not an issue. They have always been prompt with my repairs. One time they even broke some sensor while fixing something else and admitted to me that it was their fault which not every dealer would do. They arranged for me to have a rental car for free since the part could not be delivered until the next day. My advisor (Garett) even stayed 1/2 hour late because I could not get there by the time they closed.

PROS: Great service department
CONS: More expensive but well worth it
