A Doctor That can CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

by Sam S.

WHY WAS MY REVIEW REMOVED???
I am the person that she ruined my arm. She cut my nerve leaving me in horrible pain for the last 7 years. I now have RSD/CRPS with physical deformation in my fingers, arm, and back and SHE is the person that did it. I went into her office a normal person an left with a PERMANENT DISABILITY and no means to support my wife and child. I now have excruciating chronic pain all the time. I am not one bit afraid of "libel" because what I am saying is nothing but the truth. If you go to her and think she is a good doctor, fine keep going. I am not trying to tell anyone not to, I WOULDN"T LET HER REMOVED EVEN A SPLINTER from me or anyone else I love and care about. She lied to her lawyers and the courts in mediation testimony and left me out to dry. A compassionate caretaker would have the heart to admit they messed up, after all it was only an accident. She doesn't care one bit about the misery I have to go through every single day. She has no remorse and only cares about herself, not you or her patient's well being. Enter her office at your own risk.

Thank you Dr Forrester, you are appreciated!

by Hazel C.

I have been a patient for over 18 years. She has seen me through a divorce, breast cancer, knee and hip operations, new second marriage, and the death of my husband. Always caring and competent, straight forward, she has recommended reading material that was so helpful. She came back from her vacation and to the office early to see me. I could not be in better hands. I greatly appreciate that she is in my life.

Forrester Cheri J MD is Terrific

by Alice B.

I think Dr. Cheri Forrester is a very good primary care physician. She's been helpful and responsive. I would recommend her to anybody. Her assistant is always cheerful and pleasant. The office is easy to deal with and professional. I have always been able to see or speak with someone from the practice on the phone when I had questions or needed to see someone. I had a very hard time getting into any practice in Marin as a new patient and was grateful that Dr. Forrester was able to take me. She was recommended to me by my ObGyn whom I also hold in high regard.

Forrester Cheri J MD is cold, uncaring, rude practice

by julie k.

Horrible experience! I was so disappointed. I was also hung up on twice while trying to book an appointment. I finally got through and was very clear that I needed a complete physical and blood work all in the same day as it is difficult for me to take another day off. I was told by the receptionist that she could order blood work ahead of time and that it wouldn't be a problem. Well weeks had gone by and I hadn't heard from anyone about fasting..etc so I decided to call the day before just to confirm and when I called they said they had not ordered blood work and that they could not do that. When I asked to speak to the doctor they said" Dr. Forrester is too busy to speak to patients". I was livid and very concerned. After I set my appointment I started reading about all the bad experiences many people had and decided to still keep my appointment because it took so long to get another. The receptionist was so rude and cold and I tried to explain the conversation I had stating that blood work would be ordered she continued to be rude and suggested maybe I not come in since I was already frustrated an hadn't met the doctor yet. VERY unprofessional! Well I went anyway and was greeted with a wet noodle handshake from the doctor and very cold experience. She sat the whole typing my answers and never took any time to sit and chat with me about me...it was all very mechanical, fast as if to get through the process and on to the next patient. I will not be returning to her and I highly recommend that if you want a warm hearted, great personality, caring doctor that you find someone else.

Forrester Cheri J MD is what is wrong with American Health Care

by Bella A.

Why is it so incredibly hard to find a decent Dr.? I unfortunately had a horrible experience with Dr. Forrester. This was my second trip to Prima Med Center, and the first Doctor who I went too, Dr. Nagar, who I found warm and friendly, was not in the office that day. I was bummed that I had to go to another Doctor, and Dr. Forrester, the new Doctor I was scheduled with that day was 100% cold hearted and a huge waste of my money and time. First I was double booked, and spent my time waiting in the examiner room, while Dr. Forrester was treating another patient. When she came her demeanor was cold and rushed. When I gave her some of my medical history and the knowledge I had received from previous Doctor's, she told me "I was terribly misinformed", and threw out some statistics that maybe were relevant in the 1960's, when she was most likely in Medical school. She made me feel stupid and gross. When she finally came back into the room, after almost an hour of me waiting, she told me she found nothing wrong in my urine sample. I simply asked her if there could be something else causing my pain? She hastily told me that she would give me a quick pelvic exam. She concluded that she thought I had an STD, and said "This looks similar too other sores I've seen before." While thinking I had a UTI this whole time, this was a big shock to me. I had very little time to process this information, while tears began swelling in my eyes, she prescribed me some medicine, and told me to make another appointment to come back for an STD test, and then left the room. I sat in the room trying to choke back my tears, in awe of what a cold hearted and unprofessional Doctor this woman was. She didn't give me any explanation, or a blood test to prove that I even had an STD! Are you kidding me? She threw me out, like I was a nuisance for coming in with something that she didn't expect nor had the time to deal with that day. All I have to say is this woman has no compassion nor has kept up with recent medical statistics. What a huge waste of my time and money, and honestly what a cold hearted and inhuman being.

Very lovely person and good doctor...

by D G.

Dr. Forrester has been our family doctor for over a decade. She sees me, my husband and two young children. She is a very intelligent woman and excellent doctor. I trust her completely. I happen to like her bedside manner, as well. If I have an issue that requires more in depth conversation, she will always spend the time with me. Her nurses are wonderful.

Great Doctor!

by Leigha H.

Dr. Forrester has been my mother's and my doctor for years. She first treated my mother which included the diagnosis of breast tumors. They were benign, and removed, and my mother is fine now. Dr. Forrester has since treated me for basic family doctor stuff, and also performs my annual female check ups. She is very kind, patient and capable. I highly recommend her!

Bad doctor / horrible bedside manner

by Tina G. | insider Insider | Rank: 31,802

I have had consistently bad experiences with Dr. Forrester. I am changing doctors.

She is always very late, has horrible bedside manner, and has misdiagnosed me two times - both of which I ended up in the ER.

Don't choose her. She represents what is wrong with our healthcare system.

One time when she was on vacation, I saw Dr. Poznar in the same practice. He was 100% better.

Displeased Patient

by Mary B.

Dr. Forrester has the worst bedside manners of any doctor I've ever seen. She comes in with a smile but I always walk away feeling as though I am a waste of her time. I find her to be very controlling and if you do not live up to her standards or advise than you are not worthy of her attention. If a medical issue is brought up during a routine examination she will not discuss the issue for you must make another appointment (which entails more $$$ for her and another 5 minutes or less with the doctor). I do not know why I have been going to her for the past 3 years because every experience I've had with her has made me feel worst than when I walked in the door. Enough is enough and I am going to take my chances with another doctor. The experience could not be any worst than with Dr. Forrester!!!

She is fantastic and highly skilled and compassionate!

by Anonymous

What is wrong with all these naysayers??? Cheri has been my doctor for 12 years and I think she is great. Sure, she's really busy and can't spend a whole lot of time with patients -- but she does spend sufficient time. Very few doctors these days can sit there endlessly with you and hold your hand and give you a lollipop. Have you ever heard of managed care? That industry is what forces doctors to run around like madpeople -- they don't go through this stress merely for the sake of raking in the loot. I am in awe of Cheri's ability to go from patient to patient and be completely present with each person. Cheri Forrester is an excellent doctor, a kind and wise person, and all the whining reviewers who demand instant service had better check themselves. Special note to the person who says Cheri ruined her arm: Go immediately to the dictionary and look up "Libel."

Good experiences

by Gardner C.

I have known Cheri Forrester for about 20 yrs, and she has been my primary physician for the last 8 to 10 yrs. In the time that I have been a patient of hers, I have come to know her as a kind and knowledgeable doctor who in my opinion really does care about her patients and their well being. There have been several times when I have had to call the office for an "emergency" visit and was fit in her schedule within hours of my call. Never once did I ever feel as though I was rushed through my visit with her. She has always taken the time to listen to me and any medical complaint I might have. All doctors are busy people, and we all have to understand that they also, are human and can do so much everyday. I see Dr. Forrester as an intelligent, warm and kind person who does her absoulute level best to provide proper medical treatment. I have no complaints and feel fortunate to be able to call her " my doctor." She gets 5 out of 5 stars from me. Keep up the good work...I for one appreciate everything you've done for me.

Hung up on 3 times in a row

by Anonymous

I found this new website with reviews on Dr. F. While I haven't had any particularly bad experiences with her, I haven't really had any *good* experiences either, so I was not at all surprised by the poor reviews she received on this site. Just now, I tried to contact the office to renew a prescription and I was hung up on three times without even the option to leave a message (as I often did in the past). I will be looking for a new GP.

Over 10 years now - overall experience continues to improve

by Anonymous

I was worried when I read the posts - I'm a patient for over 10 years. The new office ia a great improvement. I missed Diney too, and it seems that the nurse I saw is very good and caring like her. The computerized records also great. On Dr. F, my experience has been overall very good, I have had small problems and very big ones, and I've always received quick feedback, responsive scheduling, and even a phone call in the middle of the night I contacted the exchange in a panic. Dr. F is quiet and contemplative, not outgoing. What people might view as detatchment seems to me her focusing on listening to the patient and thinking through it - she doesn't talk a lot but listens intently. My only negative experience was a harried receptionist when making the appt - but I can understand, it's a big practice and they are still getting used to the new software and procedures.

Unfriendly

by Anonymous

She has become a business woman instead of a doctor. I am just changing from her group to another in Marin. Not easy when the only choices are those in the Marin IPA. Speaking more globally of business people instead of doctors.

Not Much Personality

by Anonymous

I didn't have that great of an experience seeing her. She didn't have much personality, but she seemed to know what she's doing. My wife likes her because she also does gynocology and when there's been an emergency, they've been able to get her in right away.

No Longer A Doctor

by Maury L.

Dr. Forrester used to be a good doctor. I'd say in the last 6 years or so she has become a business woman. She packs in patients like sardines then rushes in and out of rooms, spending very little time with each person. What's worse is when you go to see her, unless you are the first appointment, you can count on an hour wait. Her staff smiles but they are not friendly. Diney, her nurse practitioner was good but is no longer there...wonder why. I had a condition that I went to Dr. F for at least 5 times but she couldn't figure out what was wrong, finally Diney ordered a blood test and I got a diagnosis. Too bad making $ is more important to her than patient care. If your health is important to you do not go to Dr. Forrester.

Lacking in customer service

by Michelle B. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,697

I am not sure if Dr.'s offices do not feel they need to provide good customer service because there is always a wealth of sick folks out there that need a doctor, but I have a certain bad taste in my mouth when I leave a Dr.'s office and feel as if I was almost invisible while I was there. This is unfortunately the experience I had at this Dr.'s office. When I was leaving, I stood at the counter for several minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. Then, I was still wondering if I'd done everything I was supposed to before leaving. Especially when you're sick and not quite thinking straight as it is. I actually look forward to using Insider Pages myself to find a Dr.'s office in the area that I live in that values customer service even if you are sick and you have to be there, not of your own accord. I would definitely not say this is one of those offices.
