The Steak House time forgot  4 Star Rating - Very good

What better way to describe this restaurant than an exact copy of the one that Mark Rat Ratner took Stacey Hamilton on a date to in the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Montys has been open for 65 years and the current client base looks like they were born the year it was opened. It is also right across the street from the Huntington Hospital so lots of older people attend. With that said, this place is very tasty. Steaks are huge and drinks are huger. The bar is usually full after work hours with business men getting wasted and single older ladies flirting with them. I went a week ago and seriously packed it in. I Got the 16oz steak and a baked potato the size of a football, no joke. This thing must have been grown under power lines or next to a nuclear plant, but it was delicious. When I sliced it open, the waitress dumped 2, no more like 11 patties of butter in it and made it more awesomer. If your looking for a place to eat a steak, spend a lot of money and raise your cholesterol, this is the place!

PROS: Good food, good service, THE BIGGEST BAKED POTATOS KNOW TO MANKIND!!
CONS: You might clog an artery, but the hospital is next door!!

Fabulous Old Fashioned Steak House  5 Star Rating - World class

Monty's is a Friday night occurrence for my family....literally! We go every Friday night, sit in a booth by the bar and have Barbara as our waitress. The menu is standard with their specialty being steak, which is what I'd stick to. The prices are reasonable ranging from $22 to $35 for a steak. But the best part are the mixed drinks....that is if you like less mix and more drink. They mak'em stiff so watch out. The crowd tends to be older (45+), but it's a great place for people watching. Plus it's an old Pasadena Tradition, don't miss it!
