Take a walk back into the 1950's as you enter San Francisco's Lori's Diners. A San Francisco tradition, Lori's has locations throughout the Bay area serving classic American food. Omelets, pancakes, tuna melts, burgers and classic dinners like meatloaf, grilled chicken....and don't forget about the Lori's milkshake. Check out all the 1950's memorabilia....Elvis would be proud. Great for people of all ages.

I had the tuna salad and cream of mushroom soup. This is where I got the nasty food poisoning I am dealing with right now. This place was not crowded and we were promptly seated but like I said, I got food poisoning here.

I usually don't like to give bad reviews but, this was bit a good dining experience for us. TIP: If your customer requests NO BACON, it's not okay to simply take of back to the kitchen, remove the bacon and take it back to the table. We DON'T EAT MEAT!! That was enough to send us packing...
I'm only giving 1 star because I have to.

We ate breakfast at Lori's Diner while visiting San Francisco. They've done a great job decorating the place, and the food was very good. I'd definitely come back here again.

why would you want to pay $8.00 for two eggs, two scrawny pieces of bacon, hashbrowns that not even crispy and 2 pieces of baby toast. i dont know how this place stays in business. i love breakfast but i rather to to jack in the box then pay these prices!!

Great service
by quarkiegirl
Delicious french toast, eggs, and bacon. Waitress brought my boyfriend the wrong type of hamburger, took it back and knocked half the price off our bill! It's a fun place and I'd definitely eat here again.
Pros: Friendly staff, decor, good inexpensive food

Great Late Night Diner Fare
by drluv99
For what it is, Lori's is pretty good. I don't think it's fabulous, but I think the other reviews are being a bit overly harsh. My wife and I ate here late after a show on a Friday night and really had a good time. I had a late night breakfast (pancakes, biscuits & gravy, eggs). The service was great, the atmosphere was excellent and the crowd was very interesting. The food was good (pancakes were spot on!) but not great (biscuits & gravy left a little to be desired). It's a nice meal if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a greasy spoon.
Pros: service, atmosphere, location

Horrible Overpriced Food
by foodie94108
Stopped in to the Sutter street location as we were roaming the streets wondering what to eat. I had the French Dip Sandwich and my fiancee had the cadillac burger. The Beef in the French Dip sandwich was rubbery and the burger was overcooked, not that that would improve the taste. The only thing good about the meal were the Garlic fries and the cheese fries we ordered with our meals. If you like Horrible, overpriced food, then I would highly recommend you come here to get ripped off.
Pros: Garlic/Cheese Fries, Decor
Cons: , Overpriced, Did I mention Food?

overpriced sandwich
by elaineswong
My friends and I went to Lori's while waiting for a show at Shelton Theater across the street. The 50's decor was cute and what my friends ordered looked OK. I made the mistake of ordering the half soup half sandwich and was so disappointed I had to write this review.
The soup came out of a can (if not, whoever cooked it from scratch should've used a can instead) and the sandwich had one slice of turkey, a quarter leaf of lettuce and modest slice of tomato. The bread was nothing remarkable and I had to ask for mayo. And I was charged almost $8. What a rip-off! Compared w/ other dishes I saw going by, this was more like an eighth of an sandwich.
The waitperson was polite, but had given me a blank menu.
Pros: decor, kid's menu
Cons: , low quality
