A waitress was extremely confrontational and rude to us. She sat our party in a main aisle way when she knew we had two small kids, 1 year and 3 years. Of course the kids didn??t want to sit in their chairs the entire time so I got up with them so they can walk around near our table. I always moved them when people needed to get by. The waitress raised her voice to me telling me I had to move the kids because she and the other waitresses needed to get by. I was shocked and angry that a waitress would speak to me in a rude such a matter. She could have asked me in a nicer tone and I would have been happy to take the kids outside. Since I was so appalled, I told her to ??go on by? in a firm tone right back. She didn??t like that and started to complaining to who we found out later was the manager. We then told our waitress to get the manager. He came to our table TEN minutes later. When he came, the girl stood right next to him with her hands on her hips raising her voice at us when we told him how rude she was to us. We told her we weren??t speaking to her and she needed to leave. The girl stormed off. We told the manager in a calm tone what had happened but he didn??t seem to care. He was just like, ??uh huh, uh huh, I??ll take care of it.? We knew he wasn??t going to do anything because he just seemed to brush off our complaints and we were right. He didn??t comp us anything nor apologize and he even included the gratuity on our bill. We just paid and left because we didn??t want to deal with it anymore. NEVER eat there again!!
This is a lovely little restaurant where local high school students like to hang out. The food here is great, everything is made fresh and the staff is outstanding. This restaurant is not only for the young but it is also a great place for the family. If you ever go to Melos the breadsticks are a must to try!
The service was great, the pizza was better!

Pros: No pros given the treatment we received
Cons: Extremely rude staff
Best pizza in the Bay Area. Everything on the menu is great. Waiters and managers are friendly and the atmosphere is great (great for a casual date or for the family).
Cons: Can't think of a single con.
I've been going to Melos for 25 years! Must have the Caesar Salad everytime. The home made croutons are great and the caesar dressing is perfect. The owners have started skimping on the salad size in the last year or two, but it depends on when you go. The pizza is better than most in the Bay Area - not up to the best in NY of course, but consistently good. Always ask for extra sauce, thin crust and fresh garlic. The Lasagna Verde (veggie lasagna) is fabulous... ask for it well done. The Ravioli Portofino is terrific - ravioli stuffed with shrimp in a decadent cream sauce - yum. Always friendly staff. Always family feeling. Always reasonable prices. The parking is easy too. And you can call for take out - it will be ready to pick up in 20 minutes. A great and easy way to have a tasty dinner at home.
it's decent pizza. The dough is too salty and a little plain tasting. The place gets packed on a weekend night, they have good business obviously.
Cons: Parking sucks
Melo's doesn't mess around. You can tell by the weight of the pizza. Great everything. And a bottle of wine is easy on the wallet. Try it once and you will wish they delivered, because when you want pizza, this is it.
Pros: Fast service, Great food
Cons: , No delivery
