Enough already with the Chef Chu's. I really miss Chef Wang's, they closed earlier in the year. Like Chef Wang's, Fresh Taste is a m&p specializing in light chinese dishes. That is, they don't burden the dish with thick sauces. You can actually taste the bellpeppers and onions!! What a concept. Good place!

I first tried Fresh Taste as a student at Stanford. It is one of the closest Chinese restaurants to the Stanford campus, and often advertises discount coupons in the Stanford Directories. They have student specials, which consist of an entry, rice and egg blossom soup. Nothing special. The food tends to be too salty. Portions are average sized. Service is average. There are parking spaces in the rear, but can get pretty crowded during dinnertime.
