Dr. Rabinowitz at Mueller Pet Medical is fantastic!  4 Star Rating - Very good

Mueller Pet Medical Center is *very* expensive (hence my 4 star rating), but I'm new to the area so I don't really have anything to compare it to here. I went to Mueller on a recommendation to see Dr. Rabinowitz, and I'm glad I did -- she's fantastic.

I am surprised at the negative reviews written here, I have had very positive experiences (other than the cost!) with this practice. I've only been there 3 or 4 times, and my pets have only seen Dr. Rabinowitz, however, so my good opinion of Mueller PMC is largely because of her care. But I have found the front office staff to be extremely nice, and most of the vet. techs. have also been nice and appeared very competent.

Horrible Staff  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I use to bring my dog here but I wouldn't bring my new dog anywhere near this facility. The staff is not sincerely nor helpful. The vets were a revolving door and I never saw the same vet twice. My dog contracted cancer and they never seem much interested in treating it.... I've since moved to a new place where everyone loves my dog and knows me AND my dog.

Refund Granted  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

As a follow up to my 8/6/08 posting, I sent a certified/return receipt letter to the owner of the hospital requesting a refund of the difference between the quoted price of my visit and the price assessed. I have received a short note from the owner apologizing for the 'confusion' with the refund.

Still waiting....  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I took my Border Collie mix to this facility on Tuesday afternoon. She has been listless, off her food and can only walk about 20 feet without laying down. The vet came in, pressed around on her belly which is swollen, and then said he would work up an estimate. He was with my dog about five or six minutes. The estimate was around $560 for bloodwork and xrays. I told the tech who brought me the estimate that I would need to talk to my husband. I then asked if we could just do the bloodwork. She said she would talk to the vet. In less than a minute she came back and said I needed to do all of it. I was at the desk trying to pay for the office visit when she came back and said the doctor wanted to do the bloodwork immediately. It is now Wednesday night. I have called to get the results and was told the tests had not been returned. I was also told that the vet would call when he received them. I've been to vets many times and have never had to wait this long. I'm searching for another vet and will request that the tests be faxed to them...if they ever come in! Apparently this vet hospital is more interested in gettting a credit card than caring for my dog.

Absolutely deplorable treatment of my dog as well as myself.  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I have never before taken time to comment or review any type of service before. However, I feel so strongly about the way my dog and I were treated in this facility I felt it was only fair to warn anyone thinking of taking their pet there to not do so. It was a total lack of compassion for the animal or myself, as well as the most unrealistic bill I have ever had to pay. I am not a person who takes the time to go around complaining about services or people, but this was far and away the worst place I could have imagined to take our family pet.

Boarding...  5 Star Rating - World class

I think their boarding facility is great! I always board my two dogs and one cat there with NO trouble. They actually love going to Mueller because of all the attention they get. But my dogs do not get stressed out at the kennels, and I do not need to medicate them while they are there.

You may have trouble boarding your two dogs if they stress themselves out and rub their faces constantly against the kennels causing their noses to bleed...and then when Mueller tries to call you to pick up your dogs as soon as possible because they are stressed and you don't answer or return the messages - you might have a problem. Maybe you shouldn't board your dogs anymore, and you should check out some home care services. I'm just sayin'.

Terrible condition  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I never board my babies at this place again.
The place for boarding was terrible condition....

Both of my dogs got injured noses WHEN I BOARD THEM...
When I came to pick them up, their noses were still shedding blood badly and it didn't seem like Mueller Pet Medical Center were taking care of my babies.

I took them to another vet immediately and they are ok now...

If you love your dog,I never recommend going there....

Emergency Hospital and Regular Veterinary Services 24/7  5 Star Rating - World class

Over the past 30 years, Mueller's has provided competent care and first rate emergency services for our pets ... from guinea pigs to kittens and cats, large and small dogs. The veterinarians and staff are available to assist at any time of the day or night. The vets, 5 or 6 on staff, have a special way with animals and the receptionists, vet techs and other animal attendants are loving and caring. The facility is well run. Our animals (cats and dogs) have never objected to boarding at this facility.

Most recently, my elderly Chesapeake Bay Retriever has received first rate diagnostic and hands on medical care. Mueller's obtained a timely neuological consultation for another animal of ours.
