I love Roy's Hawaiian fusion restaurant in Palm Desert. The service is exceptional. The food is sensational. The ambiance is relaxing. Try the lobster pot stickers as a starter. They are unique to Roy's. All of the salad offerings are fresh and delicious. My favorite entree is the 3 fish platter, with tuna, halibut, and salmon prepared and presented in 3 different ways.

Roy's has a wonderful offering of drinks and desserts. My favorite dessert is the chocolate lava cake, or is it the Hawaiian bread pudding, or the coconut creme brulee. They are all fantastic.

The best fish I have ever had in my life I had here. Service is excellent, they have enough servers and assistants that you always feel well taken care of. Food is lick your plate good, restaurant is clean and nice, and the hostess' and servers have always been extremely nice.

Best , most freindly service I have had in the valley. Everyone said hello or "aloha". Whe we asked where the bathroom was, we were escorted all the way, not just someone pointing. Everytime I walked outside to smoke, someone held the door open for us. Three or our four food items were great, one was just average. I recommend the fresh tuna seared rare with a horseradish sauce. The Macadamia Nut Mahi Mahi was good, but not as flavorful as the other 3 items we had. The chocolate souffle was TO DIE FOR!!!

Pros: Service, Food

Cons: It was a little loud

Just awful. For $140 for two people the food was just awful, boring and prepared like a cafeteria. Even the mashed potatoes, which obviously had been sitting under a heat lamp were awful. Our waitress could have showed some genuine interest in us, maybe, if we some how caught fire but she would have still tried fitting in some totally fake suggestion for another menu item. Really do not go here if you care at all about decent food. For $140 it should have been fantastic, fun and satisfying, it wasn't.

Pros: none

Cons: sub par food, they don't care, it's all an act

The experience was average - menu's were mixed and as a result we received a different fish dish (on their specials). The staff did not seem to bother much. Biggest disappointment is the fact that they keep the white wines WAY TOO COLD - we sent the first chardonnay's back thinking it was off - the second, more expensive chardonnay tasted exactly the same - although we thirsty for a drink, we had to leave our wines for at least 15 mins to get to a decent temperature and get the taste back. Even the staff admitted that they keep the wines too cold but no one seems to willing to change it. A real waste for wines over $ 10 a glass.

Pros: dessert

Cons: , wines far too cold

Good food, nice ambience but overpriced outside of the fixed price menu. Also, waiters and servers are marginal for the price. Drinks are outstanding as are many things on the menu.

This place is a bit expensive to go every other week or so but its worth it to go for the pokatini -tuna sashimi, avacado with truffle oil served in a martini glass - Yum!!
The bartenders need to losen up a bit though.

The service was very good. Restaurant was a little too "chain". I remember the Roy's at Pebble Beach and it was fabulous. This one had menu items that were too pricy for the quality. It was too noisy and I felt like I was in a food factory. I was a bit dissapointed. I will probably not go again. Some of the food was too wierd. The portoins on the plate were too small also.

We love to go to Roys on the islands of Hawaii and were very excited to see the restaurant open up in Palm Springs. The food is incredible and is consistant. We love the "classic" menu that you can get at any Roy's and the chef's special menu that is customized for that particular restaurant. Allthough we will indulge in a full entree at times, we usually take advantage of the large appetizer list so we can try small portions of all the wonderful flavors this restaurant has to offer. Roy's is BY FAR one of our all time favorites!!
