Paul Marcus Wines

Some have called this place the "High Fidelity of Wine Shops" simply because the staff can be a bit 'above it'.

This isn't a place for the wine novice. Their prices aren't bad, but they aren't great. They have a decent selection, but it's a small space and some regions are lacking. Their refrigerated section is uber-tiny so don't think you can get a great last minute chilled white or sparkling wine.

I see this place as a sort of secondary or last resort. It's better than Vino or *gasp* Trader Joe's but not a full service wine shop.

It could also be the lobster tanks from the meat market that's off putting...

Worth checking out if you're in the Rockridge Market Hall, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
