Kidspace Children's Museum is great for a kids day out!

by sc g. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,759

The place is awesome. I used to take my 2 year old every other month, now that is 4y and in preschool, I wish we could go more often. The outdoor is great for playing, especially in the summer when it is really hot as they have a couple of water areas where the kids can play with water! In winter they have snow, just awesome! The inside is great for exploring all sorts of stuff. Take a couple of changes of clothes as the kids get wet. Super fun day!!!

Wonderful!

by B C. | insider Insider | Rank: 25,576

Kidspace is an awesome place for little ones. I take my nephews whenever possible and they absolutely love it. It's a bit crowded on weekends so I would recommend going on a weekday. If you're going to let your little one play in the water then bring an extra set of clothing and maybe even another pair of shoes.I recommend for anyone with energetic children.

great kids museum

by Rebecca C. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 11,893

My kids love this place we can spend a whole day here. The rope climbing structure has always been their favorite. There is a huge variety of interactive hands on activities for your kids.

Great place for kids and tots!!

by Heather H.

Nothing like a place that is all play based learning and a good time for the little ones. Not only do they have expansive grounds of a tot room, man made creek to play in, climbing towers, interactive bug exhibits, construction zones, etc. They have great festivals and events throughout the year. A few include the kids Iron Chef event, butterfly festival, and the halloween festival to name a few.

PROS: the tot room, outdoor water playground, and creek
CONS: none

This Museum needs serious improvements

by Sandra B.

This was a complete dissapointment. Most of the exhibits were not working, some now for over a year! It seems to be getting worse, once broken they seem to be never fixed. This was a self learning museum. The exhibits did not have signs instructing what they were or staff.

PROS: You can let the kids run around in a museum..that has tunnels
CONS: It was not educational...they need working exhibits and staff!

Kidspace Children's Museum

by Anthony S. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,823

A co-worker had told me about the Kidspace Childrens Museum. I took my kids there on his recommendation and my kids just had a blast exploring all the exhibits. There are so many things to look at, touch and explore. The climbing towers were really cool. My kids also liked the wisteria courtyard area where they got to climb on tricycles and ride around with them.

New Facility Is A Winner

by Bj B. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,405

I have never taken kids here but I applied for a job here once and had the opportunity to see the place in action. The facility is amazing and my co-worker said her two daughters went with their Head Start classes and loved it. There is so much for the kids to see and touch and do that they can't possibly get bored. They have great staff and they are adding new exhibits on all the time. Take your children here and you won't be disappointed.

A great place for kids to have fun.

by Angela R. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,884

Kidspace is a little pricey. But for the fun that your kids will have there it's well worth the cost. They offer discount admission on rainy days because all of their outdoor activities aren't open then. Make sure you stop by the rock "painting wall". Your kids will love it.

Check it out first before you buy tickets or membership

by Brenda C. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,019

This kids museum is not all that its cracked up to be. The back gardens area is small and barely developed. The crafts tables are outdoors in the hot sun. The only interesting part is an open track in the courtyard in which kids can ride some unusual tricycles, bicycles and other wheeled transportation.

PROS: Good location in Brookside Park, across from Rose Bowl
CONS: Small gardens area and outdoor crafts table

Family fun

by Jennifer R. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 12,726

Tucked away in the scenic area near the Rose Bowl with plenty of grass for the wee ones to play on...it's a nice break from the hustle of the main drags in the city yet still conveniently close. Inside are fun buggy exhibits and a learning library. Stuff to explore and climb on.
Gift store has unique items. Lots of parking.

PROS: Fun & educational-beautiful location
CONS: Kind of a small space-some sections not for the very wee ones

Educational

by Vicki P. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,635

I came across this museum by accident while driving through Pasadena. It's rather small and quaint. The people that work there are young and enthusiastic. Lots of interactive experiments that kids love. It's a scientific museum. You can also touch a live snake if you are so inclined!

Lots to do and see. Both my 5 year old and 2 year old loved it!

by Erica A. | insider Insider | Rank: 24,696

For the price of admission, you get to climb, ride tricycles, explore all kinds of hands-on exhibits and cool off in the courtyard, where a fountain shoots out little jets of water intermittently. My two-year old loved the fountain so much, she was dripping from head to toe! (Thank goodness someone had warned me to pack an extra set of dry clothes!)

We're definitely planning to go again when my son is on vacation from school.

PROS: Lots to do- you can spend all day there
CONS: In the fountain they make you keep your shoes on?!

This newly constructed museum is a great interactive museum for children of all ages. The interior portion of the museum consists of lots of climbing towers that extend into very tall towers. There is educational material that ranges from insects to earthquakes. Outside there is a pseudo race track and a fleet of tricycles and big wheels for children to burn some energy. This is a great place for children to burn off some steam. It is a little pricey at $8 per person but is worth it.

I am soo glad this place reopened last month. Its better then ever. My kids LOVED it here and I find that I tend to have fun almost as much. Very close to home so theres no hour journey home after a long play day. Reasonably priced. Fun for the whole family.

The new Kidspace museum just opened last month and my son loves it there. Has two 40 ft climbing towers and a whole bug-themed section with a bug diner and an ant hill to crawl through. It's a tight squeeze for an adult. There's an outdoor area in the back with trike paths and lots of water. There are educators who do show & tell with bugs and reptiles and there is a nature exchange. They also do kid parties and there is a room for littler kids that sometimes has special classes. Membership is a littlesteep - starting at $100, but they are putting in another building with stuff for older kids.
