Please think twice before you give Soleil your credit card information. They have been erroneously charging me for months and the staff continues to say it is just a billing error and they will correct it, but they don't. This is intentional to stall for time in order to continue to charge my account. Finally, I had to notify my bank of the fraudulent charges and cancel that card. I believe that Soleil has a pattern of unethical business practices.. I caution you to put everything in writing with them and have his staff sign it..... The staff at the Berkeley location continues to assure me that I would be refunded but that they don't manage the billing and that the owner will have to correct it and that I need to send and email to the owner. After weeks of emails and calls, I STILL HAVE NOT received a response. Please spend your money elsewhere.

The tanning salon itself if nice and reasonably priced but the experience is very impersonal. It seems every time I go in a new college student is working behind the desk and no one has learned my name yet. At the planet beach salon I used when living in New Orleans I felt very welcome and the one or two women who were usually working new me by name. I would recommend Soleil because the prices are good, but do not expect to get to know the women who work there.

Soleil is a great tanning Salon. I'm usualy uncofortable when I go tanning, but they were extremely friends and made the experience go by very quickly.

I have been tanning at various Soleil Tanning locations for the past two years. I think there are 4 now. They are conveniently located, and are open from 9am to 10pm every day. They have a great tanning special. Unlimited tanning in all lay down or stand up beds (except this one special UV Scan bed) for $39 per month. At this time of year if you go twice a week it's only $5 per visit!
The employees and staff have always been courteous, if not downright friendly. I have recommended Soleil to many of my friends and they have all shared positive experiences as well. Oh yeah, I think the spray tanning there is good too!

This place is great, best i have found in berkeley coming from Laguna Beach. Salon is very clean, staff is friendly and the beds are new and up to date. I am totally content here, great salon, look no further. :)

Their facilities were the cleanest. The store has the most atmosphere, and the beds were the newest of all the salons I have visited in the East Bay area. The staff was friendly and knowledgable, and helped my aweseom taning experience. I do recommend caling ahead for an appointment around the noon hour, otherwise there is a wait for a bed.

I have been a member since 1994 when they only had one location and i have been with them for over 11 year"s!!! and have found the service to be on par or above any of the other tanning salons, but with one exception the staff...always freindly and helpfull with any of my concerns and questions...i dont know who this nelly2006 is but dont let a person who has only had two reviews make up your mind on this...soleil tanning always goes the extra mile for me, and i have been a client and customer for over 11 years...give it a shot!!

I have been to Soleil Tanning, Berkeley couple of times thinking that they would get better, NOT worse. Their customer serrvice, staff (bunch of kids), products( I was orange one time), ownership just SUCKS! I mean " Com'on!!"... I highly NOT recommend them.. Everything about that place is worthless..
