I would recommend this place for buying your dress. I knew which dress I wanted and I didn't try on any others, so I can't speak to the helpfulness of the staff in choosing dresses for you. But I got a good price on the dress that I bought (less than what the tag said) so I was happy with that. Lana was pleasant and a bit overly complimentary (as salespeople often are).
The problem was with the alterations. The length and a couple other minor things were done o.k., however, the chest area needed some tlc, as it's a deep V in the front and needed to be fixed to add some lift and shape. However, the first round of putting in some cups failed- puckering on the sides, didn't lay flat on my chest, just bad. It went from bad to worse...I was pointing out concerns and being told that "nobody will notice" the things that I was pointing out (things that looked VERY bad on the dress, by the way). The most frusturating thing was that they were not listening to me- another salesperson was there one of the times and she was NOT pleasant, almost rude (don't know her name but she has a British accent).
Finally I took the dress out of the store after paying $$$ for alterations and not getting anywhere. I found another place to take my dress to and they are "horrified" by the work of the seamstress at A Nite On The Town, but they can fix it (for a lot less money, too).
Buy your dress there (if you must) and run!!

I visited the place and was helped by a very rude sales person named Stephanie. I was looking for my wedding dress and so she picked out some stuff for me to try and showed me to the dressing room and some how I was forgotten. Wedding dresses are not easy to put on and require help. So I went to find Stephanie and she said she would be right with me...I waited even longer. Every dress took about 10 minutes of looking for her and getting zipped up. I kept wanted to tell her if I am an inconvenience can I get someone else to help me? Instead, I figured she must be the only one working the small store.

Thinking this was a one time thing, I brought my mom to find her mother of the bride dress. Again, we were greeted with a rude attitude from Stephanie and was tossed to another sales associate, who was a lot nicer and enjoyable to work with. Since we found a dress for my mom and had an okay time with this associate ??Lana?, we decided to get the guys' tuxes from them.

Ordering the tuxes we worked with a gentleman. The colors, tux types and prices were decided. It was told to us and written down on the order form that the groomsman tuxes, father of the bride/groom tuxes would be $86.95. It was told to us and written on the order form that the ring bearer and coin bearer tuxes would be $68.95. TO OUR SURPRISE THE PRICE CHANGED. AND INSTEAD OF PROPERLY LETTING US KNOW ABOUT THE CHANGE, THEY SURPRISED OUR WEDDING PARTY WITH THE NEW PRICE AS THEY CALLED IN WITH THEIR MEASUREMENTS.

So I went down there to see what was up. Again, I was greeted rudely by Stephanie and was treated like I was an inconvenience. I explained to her the situation and asked why there was a change in price. She explained to me that since my ring bearer was 8 years old that he was considered an adult and that it was industry standard to consider him an adult. I told her that that was not what the gentleman said told us when we ordered; and it said right on the order form the cost of the tux for a ring bearer. She said the prices were on the assumption that the ring bearers were toddlers! I wish I had to recording of the discussion with the guy that our ring bearers were about 7 to 8 years old. I know I definitely did not say they were toddlers. I DID NOT GET ONE apology for the mix up. Instead I got ??It??s only a $11 dollar difference are you sure you want to change?? She definitely made me feel stupid for not knowing the industry standard. Instead of honoring the price that was on our order form we had to down grade the tuxes to a cheaper tux.

If Stephanie was more nicer and didn??t make me feel aweful every time I go in and stupid for not knowing the industry standard on tuxes, I probably would have paid the $11 dollars. But, it was obvious that she was not looking out for the customer??s best interest.

Costumer service is very big in this economy and to find a place that really does not care about their costumers is very surprising. I work in the retail and event planning industry and I know that happy customers mean referrals to more happy clients. I feel badly for the costumers that deal with that place. I was hoping it would turn out well but it did not. My advice is pay a little more for better service. Find a place that centers its business practices on costumer satisfaction. Weddings are supposed to be one of the happiest times in people??s lives and it is sad that this place is not looking out for your best day.

I had a very delicate bridal dress that needed alteration. Once the staff let me "in", asked me to change, the seamstress came in, man-handled my dress and started poking pins without explaining anything - when I asked - she explained a very shoddy quick-fix.

In the middle of all this, another rude staff member snapped and took her away saying another bride needed her dress hemmed NOW. And they asked me to wait. 10 mins of waiting sweating in my dress with pins poked in it - and then I decided to walk out!

Walking out and never going back was the best decision I made. Instead I went to D'Angelo's after reading reviews online - and I recommend you do some background check before going to a bridal store.

Btw, The quality of D'Andelo's is 10 times better and you don't pay more than you would in this shoddy place.

Horrible Experience!

Last summer I called A Nite on the Town to see if they could order a dress for me for a formal event that I had to attend in November. The lady that I talked to was Stephanie, she was also said to be the Manager. Stephanie said that it was no problem at all to order the dress from the designer, all she needed was my measurements. (I thought Great!) So I measured myself right there at home, gave her these numbers, she made me give my credit card number, charged me for the full amount of the dress plus the cost of shipping, and then she confirmed the order. Now I told Stephanie that I had previously had to order my dresses two sizes larger than what I wear in jeans because of my chest size, and then have the waist tapered down. She said that it wouldn??t be a problem, that their seamstress could make alterations once the dress came in.

Eight weeks later they called and I drove down to LaJolla with a friend to try on my dress. BIG DISASTER! Stephanie ordered the dress two sizes too small! She ordered off my waist measurement and not my hips and bust measurements. It was horrible, the dress had to be custom made from the designers, and so there was no way to get another one made in time for my event. Stephanie never once, even though she was said to be the manager, never once did she call and apologize for her mistake. My measurements were clearly marked on the original order form by her. Now I can forgive an honest mistake, I can not forgive someone who doesn??t own up to those mistakes.

A Night on the Town did offer to replace the dress with any of their dresses that they had in the store, you know the ones that everyone tries on when they come in. But they would not give me back the difference in cost, no matter if the dress I chose was only a third of the cost. In the end, however, Lana did order a new dress (same style I had previously ordered) in for me from another store. But the one I ordered was Black; the one they were able to get in my size was White. The dress had a small train, so the entire evening I wore it, EVERYONE kept congratulating me for getting married!!! Now the other problem with a white dress over a black one is: I had to buy all new accessories to match white... silver shoes, silver hand bag, jewelry, even makeup. Because I though I was wearing a black dress, I had already purchased those accessories. Also, I would have looked very pretty in a black dress, but in the white one I needed to have a tan, or I would have looked washed out.

To top it off, Lana, who ordered my "new" dress promised that the seamstress would make the alterations for me, since we were now in a time crunch. GUESS WHAT! Every time I drove down from Camp Pendleton, the seamstress was either not available, OR the girls that were there had no Idea what I was talking about and the managers (Lana and Stephanie) couldn??t be reached, so therefore the seamstress couldn??t help me. I had even made an appointment to get the alterations done, and then drove down, and no one could help me. GO Figure! Though the seamstress knew about the problem, because she looked at the black dress the day it came in to see if there was anything she could do to make it fit.

Three months later, I have yet to hear from Stephanie or anyone else at a night on the town to apologize for completely ruining my order, and costing me more money that any dress was worth.

Horrible Experience!

Last summer I called A Nite on the Town to see if they could order a dress for me for a formal event that I had to attend in November. The lady that I talked to was Stephanie, she was also said to be the Manager. Stephanie said that it was no problem at all to order the dress from the designer, all she needed was my measurements. (I thought Great!) So I measured myself right there at home, gave her these numbers, she made me give my credit card number, charged me for the full amount of the dress plus the cost of shipping, and then she confirmed the order. Now I told Stephanie that I had previously had to order my dresses two sizes larger than what I wear in jeans because of my chest size, and then have the waist tapered down. She said that it wouldn??t be a problem, that their seamstress could make alterations once the dress came in.

Eight weeks later they called and I drove down to LaJolla with a friend to try on my dress. BIG DISASTER! Stephanie ordered the dress two sizes too small! I sent both my daughters in on Wednesday, June 21st. Because there was this informative advertisement on their webpage offering over 1632 dresses in store to purchase or rent. So after traveling over 30 miles they arrive only to find out it is false advertisement THESE IDIOTS had 1 dress to rent only!! The manager said they don't rent dresses anymore and really needs to work on her people skills. To follow up I called the store the following day to get an understanding of why they would say they have over 1600 dresses when they don't. I then requested reimbursed for my gas DUE TO THE FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. I would have never gone 30 miles for nothing with the price of gas the way it is. She said there was no way she could possibly reimburse me for gas (manager with an accent speaking), This is a horrible way to run a business. If you want to check out the website yourself read the amount of dresses they disclose. I have filed a complaint with the BBB because no one should be able to get away with false advertising EVER!! It is not the American Way!

The store is not bad, it has good selection of bridal dresses as well as the hair piece, veil, and shoes. I think the price is reasonable. The first time I went there, one of their consultant named Sandra helped me. She was really nice and she actually helped me getting my wedding dress. I was debating to buy or rent my veil and Sandra told me that if I want to buy she could give me a discounted price. So I waited for about a week and then I decided to buy the veil. I went to the store, but Sandra was not there, I met this old lady named Lana. I told her that I want to buy the veil and the price, but she was persistent that the price is non-negotiable because it is a new veil. I understand if she doesn't want to lower the price, but the way she said it made me feel like.." how dare I asking for the price I was promised". When I pointed out a loose pin on the comb part , she told me that it is suppose to be loose like that. Overall, my friend and I got the feeling that she was not happy we were there. I have to say that if I got her in the beginning, I wouldn't buy the dress from there. Overall, I think I would only go to the store if Sandra is around and I don't want to deal with Lana again.

A Nite on the Town in Costa Verde Center is a great place for one stop shopping for formal and bridal dresses and tuxedos. My daughter bought a wonderful bridal dress and my wife found an elegant mother's dress for the wedding. We also found great prices and quality for all the bridesmaids' dresses and all the tuxedos. I felt great in my designer tuxedo. They also have on-site alterations and excellent service.

I placed an order for a rental tuxedo based upon a sample shown to me by the elderly saleswoman (Lana). When I went for the fitting, the tuxedo was multiple sizes to large, very worn looking and of extremely poor quality. Despite my voiced concerns following the fitting, Lana insisted that the tux looked great and fit perfectly...she must be blind. I explained my dissatisfaction to Lana and asked for a refund. Her response was to the effect that you can choose to wear it or not but it is here and this store does not issue refunds. I am now in the process of disputing the charges with Mastercard and filing a report with the Better Business Bureau. Stay away from this place!!

this is a great place to get excellent formal wear. they have all the latest designs at a great price. they are very helpful in choosing the best dresses for you and their customer service is outstanding. they have well maintained and clean formal wear.they work with any budget so that is another great plus.
