To smadsen; You are a complete idiot and should NEVER voice your opinions in a review on the Internet. First of all, I have been going to Luna loca since it opened in 1991. I am personal friends of the owner and have been for the last 12 years...who, by the way, has been the only owner of this restaurant since he opened it in '91! The insinuation you make that they have jacked the prices up (after the supposed "new management" took over) is again completely inaccurate. The menu hasn't changed or even been re-printed, for that matter, in 10+ years, You have every right to voice your displeasure with an establishments service, food, environment or all of the above. But get your facts straight before you go on the Internet slamming someones restaurant that they have put so much hard work and dedication into. it's complete fools like you that give these Internet review sites bad names! Luna Loca is a great place and always has been to enjoy a good meal with friendly service. As a matter of fact, they actually use filet mignon in some of they're steak dishes! That's unheard of for a Mexican restaurant! They make great margaritas and the chips and salsa are the best you'll ever fined. Great place to bring the family, or to catch a football, basketball, baseball, hockey (or all of the above) game. Can't go wrong!

We went in a group for a friends birthday party and the atmosphere was fun. I enjoyed the food and drinks. The service was fast considering the number of people that were there eating. They even came and did a birthday song and brought out a delicious dessert for my friend. The dinner was a reasonable price for our large crowd and I would definitely suggest them for group parties.

This place was okay, not the best mexican food that I have ever had and it was very expensive for what you get (unless you get the deal of the day, then you are paying a pretty good price). Their bean dip is really good though and their chips and salsa are yummy too. They have a very nice patio to sit out on in the summer months. I probably wouldn't visit this place again though because of the price.

Not the cheapest, but they do have terrific food in a greta location. I enjoy sitting outside duirng the summer. Their fajitas are awesome as are their margaritas, chips and salsa.

Good food at a reasonable price. Also, children eat at a discount on Tuesdays and a balloon guy is there. Very casual, friendly establishment with a good bar.

This place has the best bean dip I have ever tasted. It is extremely cheesy and SO good! There's also a wide variety of entrees to choose from, you can even build your own plate. The service is excellent as well.

It's OK but nothing to write home about

The atmospher is nice especially on a summer day when you want a margarita, but when the bill comes it just doesn't seem worth it. A Taco salad for $12.00 is too much. I have given in three trys and won't be going back for anything but a drink and some chips which are very good. We can go down the road and get better food for less.
Pros: Variety in their menu and good Margaritas
Cons: Expensive for what you get and the food is not exceptional

food from a can?

3x visitor. Synopsis: Polite but scatterbrained and slow service, soda is RC products, food poor to mediocre. Beans and shredded chicken quality low (from a can?) Rice not spectacular. Fried ice cream dish good---neat presentation. Bar area and TV's can appeal, but I went for food and service and was let down each time. Group seating on east side of restaurnat drafty and cold. Price spread from meat products to seafood too wide. Will not visit again unless invited by group and I have no say.

Nice Bar

I liked the bar it had lots of T.V's. Great place to go watch sports and have cocktail. Service was ok, the food was very bland. I did enjoy the chips and salsa. Not my Favorite Mexican place in Danville.

Good Mexican Food, but kinda high prices for Mexican food

Yeah, I've been going to here for quite a few years off and on. The chili Colorado is some of the best I've had...anywhere. The menu is very straight forward Mexican, so if you are looking for imaginative dishes go elsewhere, but for a straight forward Mexican place that is family friendly it's not too bad. After it changed hands a few years ago the prices started to rise and have now gotten to the point where it's a little too high for the quality and atmosphere. I guess they feel Danville can afford it, but I've also noticed that it's not as busy as it once was. We usually want a more interesting menu to choose from so we go out of town, but on occasion we stop in. BTW The service is usually good and fast.
Pros: Good regular Mexican food
Cons: Menu is a little boring and the prices have gotten a little high

best sportsbar/mexican food in the bayarea

mexican is my favorite and this is the best i've had in the bayarea. also, i love sports. i went to the bar because i was by myself. the have about 11 plasma tv's with any game you want. you wont find a better combination of mexican food, margaritas and sports anywhere around.
Pros: everything(bar, food, service) all very good.

if you like sports, a good drink or cute bartenders then the bar is for you. if you have kids it's a great place to come. i was there on a tuesday and they had a magician there for the kids. there's a new banquet/party room that looks great.
Pros: great dreinks and food. good prices.

great mexican food/ best sports bar around

i was back in town for buissness. i'm from denver and came in about six months ago and loved the place. i remember the owner telling me they had all the sports packages so i stopped in again. i caught the broncos game. SMADSEN wrote that it had changed hands in a review on city search so i asked the owner. IT HAS NOT. the same owner since 1991. the bar is great, the food is very good and the overall experience is wonderfull.
Pros: lots of tvs if you want, or a seperate dining room thats quiet. huge patio, and also a banquet room. cute daytime bartender.
Cons: wekends are pretty busy.

Excellent Mexican restaurant

Great food, great atmosphere, great service. I was there this past weekend watching the football playoff games and I have to say that they have a great crowd. This is a mexican restaurant with a full bar and many plasma TVs. This is my spot for the Super Bowl!!
