Pizza Guys Pizza is awesome, and the service is about the same as you might get at any "take out" style pizza place. Its Consistent and Tasty, and gets made in a timely fashion.

And as far as the different prices one previous reviewer mentioned, thats just like starbucks, or fresh choice (where you can always find coupons online), or suckers who pay quarters for air at a gas station... If you cant read a menu and do the math to figure out how to get a deal its your own fault. Plus pizza guys sends me coupons constantly, I could walpaper my house with them...

Bottom line, Great Pizza. Delivered or Pick up. Period.
Way better than round table and cheaper.

I called on 1/28/2007 to order a couple of pizzas for pick-up. I spoke with a manager named Phu who took my order for two large pizzas, one Hawaiian and one Fireworks. The total came to just under $35. I asked if there were any specials and he said "No, that's the price." When we arrived we started looking at the menu while waiting for the pizza. That?s when we started to feel like we were at a used car dealership.

Their menu states that a large cheese pizza is 11.99 and additional toppings are 1.50 each. It also states that a large Hawaiian pizza is 18.99. According to their menu, a Hawaiian pizza has ?Red Tomato Sauce, Canadian Style Bacon, Juicy chunks of Pineapple, Loaded with 100% Real Mozzarella Cheese.? Sauce and cheese are both on a cheese pizza. That means that a Hawaiian pizza has two additional toppings, Canadian Bacon and Pineapple. So it should be 11.99 + 1.50 + 1.50 = 14.99. Not the 18.99 that the menu I picked up at the store says and not the 16.99 the printable menu on their web site says (http://www.pizzaguys.com/home/img/menu.pdf).

Similarly, the ?Fireworks? pizza is a cheese pizza with Italian Sausage, Pepperoni and Jalapeno. The ?Crushed Red pepper? is something that every pizza place on earth gives away for free. In other words it?s a three topping pizza. The math would be 11.99 + 1.50 + 1.50 + 1.50 = 16.49, not 18.99 nor 16.99.

Then I noticed the coupons on the counter that had two large, three topping pizzas for 21.99. So I asked the young lady at the counter about the multiple prices. She said it just depends on how you order it. I asked if there was a manager there and she pointed to him and said he was the one who took the order. He made eye contact with me and quickly looked away. After about 10 minutes of heated discussion with the lady at the counter, (who was very polite), he still avoided helping her even though the lobby was now crowded with people waiting to order. I did advise the other potential victims, (most places have customers, they have victims) of the fraud that they are perpetrating. I have many complaints about this experience.

First, they are selling pizza, not used cars. Having multiple prices for one item is dishonest at best. If I want to spend more money for a pizza I want the pizza place to be honest about it. Round Table and Mountain Mike?s charge more, but they are honest about their prices. Since they are dishonest about the price I can assume they would probably sell you customer?s credit card info. At what point can they be trusted if something simple like the price is a shell game?

Second, when you call most pizza places and you ask if they have any specials they usually tell you about them. This practice may result in that sale being less, but it encourages repeat business. Their practice of deception encourages people to go somewhere else. Pizza is a convenience food, so having to work harder to figure out the shell game just isn?t worth it.

Third, Phu is a spineless thief. They need management that is honest and at least has the personal courage to take responsibility for their own mistakes. It was obvious that the employees who were there knew he was too much of a coward to handle the situation himself.

Forth, when the lobby becomes crowded with people because the person at the counter is obviously dealing with a customer service failure, a manager who is worth more than minimum wage knows to either go up there and help out, or send one of the other employees who are standing around doing nothing to help. Phu did neither. Again the third issue is evident.

Fifth, their web site is pathetic. Try browsing it, and then check out the competition. Their site is non-functional and the design is just as bad.

The lady at the counter did a very good job handling the situation even though she received no support from the manager who caused the problem. She would make a better manager than Phu. It was disheartening that she had to act as his shield because of his lack of professionalism. Personally I would not work for someone like Phu, nor allow him to hold a management position.

I sent them this complaint using their feedback form on their website. They have not replied.
