THEIF'S',THIEF'S,THIEF'S,THIEF'S The service advisor's will steal your warranty paperwork out of your car if you have something covered. The sales people are not to pushy but will LIE to you about the vehicle and if it is safe. They do FAKE inspections on your cars before you buy. They also sign off on safety things that have not been checked. IT IS WORTH THE DRIVE TO ANOTHER TOYOTA DEALER... PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID..

I went into Toyota of Hayward, CA today to purchase a Prius, after a lot of negotiations with a great sales rep Gim, I decided on a great price and good financing terms. I was excited about the new car I was going to purchase. After waiting an hour and a half I went into financing and went through all the paperwork and even signed the contract. After signing I realized there was a mistake in the contract and $750 rebate that was advertised and promised in the deal was not part of the contract. The finance manager called in the floor manager (Sunny) to come in to speak with us.

Sunny quickly explained that what was promised could not be done and then without allowing any discussion took my credit card, which was laying on the desk, and refunded the down payment without even asking if I actually wanted to void the contract. I decided quickly I still wanted to do the deal because despite the lack of rebate, it was a great deal. He told me he would not sell the car and told me there was a company policy that he could not sell the car because I were unhappy and he had already refunded the money. It is easy to say I was more unhappy with his actions and I was still hoping to leave with the Prius that day. My guess is that the dealership already met some quota for the weekend and decided it was not in there best interest to sell the car right then because I had negotiated a good deal. Needless to say, they broke the signed contract (which unfortunately they quickly shredded without giving me my copy) and caused lots of trouble. It was a horrible experience and a waste of an entire weekend of car shopping. I would not step foot in Hayward Toyota again. Their incentives were underhanded. I have never felt such deep agitation with any deal I've been a part of, but this one in particular moved me to voice my concern over this manager.

I went to them because they had the car I wanted which was a Toyota Camry V6. We were nicely greeted by Sunny Akbari. After test driving the car, I said I wanted to buy it. He kept looking at my male companion as he was discussing the price of the car. I was buying the car but as a female, I guess he didn't want to deal with me. We went round and round with the price of the car with us almost walking off of the lot. Each time he came back with a number, he got madder and madder with me and by the final price Sunny wasn't so "sunny". He was definitely annoyed with my negotiating the price down. With good customer service, you never let the customer feel as though you are mad at them and try to make them feel bad as I was made to feel at that point. Finally we agreed upon a purchase price. When I went to pick up the car, all they did was hose it down. They didn't even take the time to clean the inside and out. I had to take the car back three times for little things and each time they would just hose the car down. I never received the car in pristine condition like a new purchase should be. Also, the last time I came I was asked by Sunny if I had received the survey. I said yes but it was at home. He said bring it by to them and they would give me a free tank of gas and would wash my car (yeah right). When he called me about it on the phone, I told him I had mailed it in. I am not some foolish person. Why would I hand over my survey so they can go and change my answers or just throw it away. I found that after driving my car home I felt that the whole buying experience made me feel as though I had been taken advantage of. I highly suggest you do not purchase a car from this dealership or from Sunny Akbari as their customer service is severely lacking and they are untrustworthy. One is suppose to drive off with a pristine new car and feeling good about your purchase. This experience left me feeling bad and sort of ripped off. Don't waste your time at Hayward Toyota. There are much better Toyota dealerships out there that value the customer way more than this dealership does.

Please don't buy from this dealership. Especially if the salesman is Johnny Tabares. He's one real bad liar. He promised that they have the car that I wanted and that it has a $4000 discount. When I got there, he said that the car was not available anymore and he said they don't have anything that has a $4000 discount anymore. I think he only told me about having a discount to get me to go to their dealership. He will tell you that he will get you the best deal and will promise almost everything just to get you to sign on a deal. Once you have made the deal, he will ignore all those promises. And worst, the promise of a good deal is all bull.

I then wrote to their manager by the name of Faisal Zalmy to complain. He then offered me things (which I really did not need). He said he offered things to satisfy me with their services. All were b.s. also.

Johnny only wants his commission and he'll do anything to get you to sign on a deal. He is a very aggressive salesman who has no conscience.

I'm just glad Toyota just stopped selling cars for a while so I know Johnny will not have any earnings / commissions for some days to come. But I'm sad most of the salespeople for Toyota are experiencing the same thing.

Only thing good at Toyota Hayward is the Service Dept. Service Dept. staff are very knowlegeable and helpful especially an Assistant Manager there by the name of Matt (forgot his last name).

So again, please do not buy from Hayward Toyota. You can bring your car for service but don't buy from them.

If I can give a negative rating (-100) for this I would have. So I'm giving them a 1 star because it will not let me submit this review without a rating.

I had a terrible experience trying to purchase a vehicle from Hayward Toyota. They were more concern about how I was going to rate them on their survey than going along with Toyota's cash for clunkers promotion. They wanted to give me $500 for my 2004 Toyota that I know is worth at least four grand. One of the sales managers (some bald mid eastern guy) said Auto Nation doesn't' have to follow the rules or guide lines Toyota advertises because they are not owned by Toyota, so they could do what they want. When I wanted to talk to the manager who ran the place, I was asked to leave, they didn't want my business. I called Toyota's Customer Relations Center, they told me the dealership was in violation of the cash for clunkers program and Toyota frowns upon dealers who offer you a tank of gas or say anything for a good rating. If they have to cheat to get a good rating, they will cheat you out of your money. If you WANT to get ripped off, go to Hayward Toyota!!!!!

I wouldn't trust this dealer. With the Cash for clunkers program going on, they go by their autowest rules & not the federal rules or Toyota's. They really don't know what they are doing.

I recently called in to speak to someone in service at Hayward Toyota. I was transfered to a gentleman by the name of Matt. I told him that my check engine light came on on my Sequoia. I had talked to another dealership and was told that it would be a few days before I could get in. He offered to get me in right away. He even took the next step to check if I had a safety recall and sure enough I did. No one else that I talked to informed me about this and I had been bringing it into my local dealership for years!I brought my car in promptly and he took care of the check engine light (which ended up being a disconnected hose from my air box) and the safety recall. I had the car back the same day and was very satisfied. I am now a permanent customer of hayward toyota and recomend people to deal with Matt in service. He keeps you updated and is very thorough!

I was just thinking of buying a new Toyota. A friend recommended I go to Hayward Toyota. I had a wonderful experience. I told Mike the salesman, I was "just looking" and I was pleasantly surprised that he didn't pressure me. He was very knowledgeable about all the cars I asked about and he let me test drive 3 different cars. We left it that he would follow up with me in a month or so, when I am ready to buy. I will definitely be buying from Hayward Toyota.

As a Toyota fan, I am inclined to give Toyota dealerships a bit more leeway. Not so with Hayward. I plan to dedicate a good portion of my life to keeping as many people away from that place as possible. Nobody should be treated the way my wife and I were treated there in November 2006.

We had spoken with the fleet manager and received some good quotes on 2007 Corollas. He said he wouldn't be there when we went in after work on a weeknight, but he said Will, a sales manager, would help us out.

After going out of our way to be there as early as possible, we were told that they had not a single Corolla LE in silver without alloy wheels. This from the dealer that brags about its wide selection. My wife and I finally decided to consider alloy wheels, so Will took the quote from the fleet manager and said he would see what he could do about the price. He came back after a few minutes with a HIGHER price. When we asked Will why it was higher, we realized he had no idea which car we had been discussing for the past hour. By the time he figured it out, the keys were locked up in the service department overnight.

They wanted us to buy the car without ever even sitting in it. We told them we'd be happy to come back the next day if they would make it worth our time. The salesman said he could get us a gas voucher, but Will stepped in and yelled, "No discounts. I'm tired and I'm going home. You guys should go home too." Nice thing to hear when you've spent two hours trying to buy a car.

I called the fleet manager the next day to relate this story, and he said he no longer wanted to sell us a car because we would give them a bad customer-satisfaction rating. Amazing how that works...They simply weed out the critical thinkers among their potential customers.

This is all a long way of saying that you should never ever give Hayward Toyota a chance to treat you that disrespectfully.

Recently we were hunting new car (Corolla) for my friend. Staff here was very much helpful when we called up to get the quote. Also without much credit history they were able to offer reasonable price at lower APR rate!

We have bought 2 cars from them. The first time around, the deal wasn't that great since we had no idea how to bargain. The second deal was better because it was an year end closeout deal. I have gotten my car serviced there. My advice, don't go on a Saturday. It was too crowded and the wait was 1/2 the day!

After I bring my car to Hayward Toyota for service, I need to take their shuttle service to bart station and I think it sucks. I have been waiting there for 1 1/2 hours. I ask the service person when the shuttle will arrive and he always ask me to wait some more..

I brought a car it has lots of defects. I went back to claim warranty. They fix the wrong car and wrong item many times. I lost at least 1000 hours lots energy trying what needs to fix at that place. Still some items were fix incorrectly or never fix because they did not do it right. Said they will give free gas if I purchase the car after 1 month. Went back, they said that manager don't work there anymore, then they don't have to fullfill that promis. Overall, not even worth one star. Maybe a negative (-10) star

Pros: easy to negociate on a price

Cons: don't know what they are doing. fix wrong parts and do not know how to fix. waste of time going there to fix anything. Never deliever what they promised.
