Once Read Books

OK, maybe there are different criteria for shops that only stock new books, but most of them don't carry much published more than a year ago (yes, I'm talking about them, and them, and especially THEM). So go to a civilized place where you can have a stroll through the other 99% of the bound and printed word.

The closest parallel I can think of is the sort of bookshop where I used to hang out in British university cities and certain parts of London. Maybe a bit better organized, but the customers "help" the serendipity by shifting the books around.

All this and a continually changing $1.00 book selection (6 for $5.00). No wonder I'm on my third punch card. Did I mention the punch cards? The great conversations with staff and fellow customers? So go and see for yourself!!!

Once Read Books is a store that you will not be able to enter only once. They have a small store nestled in busy retail area near the local community college. The staff is helpful and the selection is impressive. They specialize in books but they also have a nice selection of sports collecttibles. The prices are resasonable and they have a great trade in policy so you can replace books you no longer want with books that you do want.

I have been going to this place for years, and I strongly recommend it. The staff go to great lengths to be helpful, and they always seem to have the best selection of used books around!
