We happened in when the owner, or the mattress king as we like to call him was there. I wasn't planning on buying a mattress that day, but they made me such an amazing deal I couldn't say no. I thought my budget would be way too low, but they were able to find something great in my price range. Also I have never met a better salesperson in any business, so watching the mattress king was was like being at a broadway show. I would go back just to watch him work! Great place for students!

I recently went into Mattress King to redeem my 50% off coupon. I expected a run-around and 'this only applies to that mattress', but much to the contrary the 50% off coupon applied to everything in the store! I spent well over an hour with Joel (the owner) letting him know my sleeps habits while he guided me through various options that fit my price range. How many stores do you go into now where the owner personally attends to you? After the third mattress I was sold, but he wanted me to try more to ensure that I found the right fit for me. In the end I purchased the same mattress they use in the Hilton Hotel, which I highly recommend. To round the experience, the delivery guys were really nice and even took out my old mattress and frame for free!

My husband and I recently purchased our first home and with that came the need to finally upgrade our mattress. I found the Mattress King on Citysearch and was impressed by all of the positive reviews so we decided to bring our 50% off coupon and check in out. Wow, what a shopping experience we had! We actually were helped by the owner himself, Joel. He was passionate about the business and made it is duty to find us the right mattress. After one hour of testing out different pillow tops we found the perfect one. It was delivered two days later right on time. I would recommend Joel and the Mattress King to anyone who wants to invest in something they spend 1/3 of their life on.

Over the past 3 years, I've purchased 2 mattresses from Mattress King and I love them both. The best part of the purchase is how friendly everyone is and how accommodating they are to helping you choose the right mattress. By far, they have the best quality for the lowest prices! It's a family owned business and it shows by the care they give their customers! Thanks guys... you're great!

mattress king is the only place i will buy a mattress. really great people and the best selection of incredible mattresses. you cant go wrong. just purchased my second mattress from them and i couldn't be happier. ive also recommended mattress king to a few friends who have had similarly great results. plus i love the family owned thing, so much better than a mega chain.

I'm really surprised at the last review because my experience and all the people I've sent there have been extremely positive. All the sales people there take a personal interest and really take their time to get to know your needs and give you all the different options. They don't rush you or pressure you into choosing one mattress over the other and they have a ton of options. I love my bed and I got exactly what I wanted and so has everyone else who I've sent there. And you can't beat the 50% off either.

Bed was much too soft...softer than we thought at the store. Couldnt return the bed and stuck with a bed that gives me a bad back.

The "Mattress King" is definitely called the "Mattress King" for a reason! The owner, Mr. Joel Lipshin, just gave my current roommate, future apartment mate, and myself an AWESOME deal on 3 QUEEN size viscoelastic pillowtop mattresses complete w/ head boards, custom made box springs, discount on delivery/installation,and threw in matching pricy super soft pillows on top of that!

Joel wants you to find the PERFECT bed for your budget (we're college aged girls so we were definitely on a budget) and your comfort and encourages you to try out the beds in his store to see how it feels. Judging from your preferences, he gives you suggestions and options in what you might like.

We were in there for HOURS b/c we were a bit indecisive but Mr. Lipshin patiently helped us until we were content with what we picked out, even if it kept him from his whole foods soy chocolate pudding! =)

All in all, I might have to hold off on buying my new lcd tv for a bit, but my new queen bed set was definitely a great steal and worth every bit of my money. A queen size bed at a comfort level fit for a queen! ;P

Just to let you know, I don't have a citysearch account but I made one just to write a review on the "Mattress King"!!!!

WIll get the bed set June 1st, so I'll definitely do an update!

My neighbor recommended the mattress king 9 months ago. We finally decided to go in and check them out. We were welcomed by Danny who was very informative about all of his products. We walked out of there with a king size memory foam sleeping cloud at an excellent price, two free memory foam pillows, and we picked it up ourselves, we couldn't wait!!! I will tell everyone I know about the Mattress King, we love our mattress!! Thank you Danny for such a great experience!!!

I have a bed! I'm so glad beause I don't have a car, I'm of course new in town, and setting up a place and everything can be so hectic. I'm glad I stopped in here, it's hard to find a good mattress at a good price. You think you can sleep on any old thing, and you can't afford something good, but I went here and they helped me find what I like within my budget. So simple, and they delivered and set everything up for me. What a relief. Good night

My fiance and I went to pico blvd. to several mattress stores that are in that area and shopped around. We walked into the Mattress King and received a very warm welcome by the salesman named Danny. We layed on many different mattresses until we found our fit. This place was wonderful we got the best price we could have ever hoped for, for such a quality mattress. They delivered the mattress that day. Much better deal then we found anywhere else and great customer service. If you are looking for a mattress in the Los Angeles area this is the place bar none. I WANT TO THANK MATTRESS KING FOR ALLOWING ME TO PAY OFF MY LAYAWAY IN TIME! I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS WITH MATTRESS KING HERE IN ATLANTA. I HAD PANIC THOUGH AT ONE TIME, BECAUSE WHEN I WENT TO PAY MORE MONEY ON MY LAY AWAY THE STORE HAD MOVED AND I WAS UNABLE TO FIND THE NEW LOCATION. I ONLY WISHED THEY HAD NOTIFIED ME ABOUT THEIR MOVING TO ANOTHER LOCATION. I HAD ALREADY PUT DOWN A GREAT DEAL OF MONEY ON MY PURCHASE AND WAS ALMOST READY TO PAY IT OFF.

I found this store through the Citysearch website and stopped in on Monday to check them out...I am very impressed! Not only do they have a wide variety of mattresses or "comfort levels" as the salesgirl pointed out, but I was able to get the mattress I purchased delivered the same day! They give 50% off to students and when I shopped around to compare prices (there's five other stores on the same block) the lowest price I found was $200 more expensive than the price she quoted me...I just started UCLA so that was a big help. I ended up getting a pillowtop mattress, box, and frame delivered the same night for about $50 less than what I was expecting to spend. I booked a late delivery time (7-10pm) and they arrived towards the end of the window (9:30pm) but the guys set everything up pretty fast. This was a very big stress reliever for me since I had so many things to worry about buying for my apartment and couldn't afford to spend $1000 on a decent mattress...I recommend that anyone else looking for a great mattresses at very low prices give mattress king a try as well.

PS- I don't know how many salespeople work here but the girl who helped me spent two hours helping me pick out my mattress and she never tried to pressure me to buy. She's very knowledgeable and sweet and even when I left to price other mattresses she didn't switch into a used cars salesman on me (i.e.-some of the other mattress stores on the street where the salespeople get brutal once you start edging towards the door). Ask for Taryn and tell her that Whitney from UCLA sent you ;-)

Despite their multiple promises to have my mattress delivered by a certain date and time, I spent one night waiting from 6 to 9 (the scheduled time) and continued waiting until I gave up. They delivered the mattress at 1:30 in the morning. It was a loaner mattress, because they didn't have the one that I ordered, and the wrong size for my bed frame. Now, as I am writing this review, I am waiting once again for the mattress that I actually ordered; it is currently 11:50 and the mattress was scheduled to arrive from 7-10PM. I have called several times and each time, the person on the phone has told me that the driver will arrive in 15 min. The first call that promised a 15 min. wait time was more than an hour and a half ago. If you choose to have your mattress delivered, expect to wait several hours past the scheduled delivery time.

I had a great experience with mattress king. My husband and I are on a tight budget, and the salesman there offered to waive the delivery fee as well as the tax on the mattress. We're moving into a brand new apartment with wood floors, and since the mattress can't be at our place for a few days, they sent me home with a temporary mattress. The service was great and the people were very friendly and easy to work with.

Really top of the line mattresses for very low prices. Even their cheapest mattress (less than $200) was more comfortable than some of the more expensive mattresses from other stores (over $400). We went to at least 3 other stores just to make sure we were getting the best deal, and we certainly were with the mattress king. We got the cheaper memory foam mattresses in August, and we LOVE them!!! When we go away on vacation, we can't wait to get back to our beds! Highly recommended for a good deal and a great mattress, and always a comfortable night's sleep.

they had a good selection to choose from. according to the owner he owns the building also so that may be a good thing. but they just try to pressure u to much into buying a bed. then when i was about to leave, he starts asking me why? i tell him i'm going across the street and he starts downplaying his competitors beds. that to me wasn't cool. i went to there competitor Mattress 4 Less and they provided great service with a great selection and no pressure to buy.

This place is great. Very friendly service. I felt like it was too good to be true so when I got home, I looked up the mattress and bed I ordered and found that I saved over $300. No need to go anywhere else. This place was great.
