El Tarasco Mexican Food

I used to go to El Tarasco all the time as a kid. The burritos and flan were great, but my favorite was this lime chicken salad. Overall the food was a bit pricey, but the large volume and great quality of the food definitely make it an excellent choice.

We have been going to El Tarasco for almost 20 years (since college). We have always loved their burritos - and feel it's worth paying for the extras. We have also had nachos and tacos - but our favorite is the burritos!

This place is famous for the fact Steve Wozniak used to eat there, but it's not the best taqueria you'll find.

Their burritos are okay when you get them plain, to really make them good you need to add guacamole or sour cream or any othe number of condiments--all of which cost extra! Sometimes as much as $1.50 (depending on which 'extra' you purchase) just for a small scoop. After adding all your various little things, the price really skyrockets. I've never paid less than 9 dollars for a burrito here.

Their flan is excellent.

PROS: Great flan, and has a bit of Silicon Valley history
CONS: PRICY!
