Me and my husband both ate Chicken and Pork Ribs and we both ended up with a stomach ache.The beans were too sweet and I read the Potato Salad was home made .It tasted like store bought from Raley's The Cornbread wasn't that great either.I would recommend going to Miller's in Carmichael. Their food is too die for.We are just being honest. Very rarely do we both get sick.It was okay inside as far as dinning in.

This place has the best BBQ I have ever eaten. I have had BBQ from all over and this is by far the best. The atmoshepre is friendly and the food is out of this world. They use fresh ingrediants in the sauce and it really shows.

My sister tells me that "The House of Chicken and Ribs" is one of the finest BBQ restaurants in Northern California. And she knows bbq. Gotta Try them.

We live near this restaurant and regularly order takeout. The food is excellent, we have tried the chicken, pork ribs, tri tip, and hot links -- all are delicious! The sides are also top notch. The one drawback is that it is not a great dining "destination" -- they do have plenty of room to eat inside but the aesthetics are not very good. The food is served on paper plates with plastic utensils and styrofoam drink cups. The tables and chairs are shabby. If they ever remodel this place will be off the charts!
PROS: Terrific food, fast

I have been to many BBQ joints in the Sacramento area and the House of Chicken and Ribs is by far the best that I've had so far. Everything is excellent. My favorite is the ribs and the tri-tip. They serve seafood too, but when I walk into the restaurant and smell the Smoke I can't help but to order the ribs. The owner is consistantly somewhat of a jerk, but the rest of the staff, which is made up of his children and local high school kids, are friendly and helpful. The owner should stick with the cooking and leave the customer service to the staff. Despite this, I keep coming back and enjoying the best BBQ in Sacramento.
