E-Z Stop Deli

I never would have expected this since it looks like kind of a scummy deli, but the sandwiches here are really delicious. They even have falafel sometimes. They also have all the basics like sodas, coffee, cookies, etc, and are pretty fast.

It's basically a liquor store- deli. It can get pretty crowded during the lunch hours, but the sandwiches are good, and the line goes by fast. There is so much candy to choose from! It is difficult to resist while waiting in line.

The place looks a little dirty but I stop by once in a while on the way to the bart station. There is a pretty good selection of sandwiches and the people are always really helpful.

Although the name of this small shop sounds like a gas station, its actually nestled in between some different cafes and bookshops in downtown Berkeley. Along with the normal chips, cookies, and drinks of a convenience store, it also has a great little fresh sandwich section. You can walk up to the counter and they will make your sandwich for you to go. They also have a selection of soups each day. The prices are a lot cheaper than most other freshly made sandwich shops in the area.
