IKEA decorated bus stops. Yesterday as I drove to work I had to stop and take a second look. Several bus stops near my home were looking extra nice, they were decorated with throw pillows and cushions on the benches, there also were also coffee tables and rugs. It looked more like a nice place to relax not the usual boring bus stop. It was so cool! I love IKEA.

Going and shopping at Ikea is pretty darn fun! It's an outing for sure! This store is huge, you can get lost in its maze of furniture and homewares. Ikea has decent quality furniture at a super price. The deal is that you put the furniture together! They've got really stylish furniture for every room of your house... it's actually tons of fun to go and shop here... even if you're just looking!

IKEA has always been know for their inexpensive, do-it-yourself furniture. Recently they have updated their lines and made some great improvments to their furniture. This store is espcially clean and the staff was very nice.

If you have a need for any household item, and an afternoon to spare, go to Ikea. This location is crazy though. Parking is always a lottery, and the store itself is usually crowded. There is a massive selection of anything you can think of for your home. They even have a food court half way through so you can snack for the second stage. I've never asked for help here, but I see the workers wandering around, so it wouldn't be hard to track one down if I needed to.

Great place to shop for home furnishings, and I think its the next best thing to visiting Sweden! The cafeteria has good food at very good prices, and lots of high chairs, a microwave, toys, etc. Really caters to kids, hence, to their parents.

IKEA has lots of cool things, and it does have lots of inexpensive furniture--so it's good for furnishing dorm rooms and apartments. However, some of the items are not very durable (I have had both a coffee table and a couch break rather inexplicably), so be careful what you buy.
This particular IKEA is insanely crowded on the weekends, so if that will bother you (think LOTS of screaming children), then try and go during the week. Don't look to most of the staff to be terribly helpful--this is definitely a self-serve operation.

Ikea is a pretty new store and is filled with vivid ideas and lots of fresh furniture for low prices. They have a really unique storefront (you actually get to go around by the room the stuff was made for and see it in use) and i like going around just to see how they lay things out. their pricing is really great and its nice to see a store that makes good things for low prices.

All of the furniture on display looks great, but upon purchase one realizes that that's due to the fact that everything was expertly coordinated with other Ikea products. Unless one wants to furnish an entire home with Ikea's slightly slipshod furniture, the one or two pieces bought from them will always look out of place. The furniture may be fairly cheap, but the cost difference is made up by the fact that one must put it together with sparse instructions and the rather flimsy nature of the final product. The showroom itself is claustrophobic, designed to walk you through every part of the store before finally showing you the exit. I've had more than one friend have a panic attack and end up bolting out of a fire escape door.

Be very, very careful if you buy things from Ikea. Some things are OK, but some things are total crap. I've bought several things from Ikea, but my experiences are in the 'total crap' end of things.
Lowest of the low is their metal Antonius shelving which *warps* so that the drawers fall out! Their weird cloth drawers are an interesting idea, but put 1 or 2 sweaters in them and they start to sag. Watch out for anything that has to hold weight - including chairs. I bought a cloth-covered chair, but the cloth stretched out so much that it sags in the middle and is very uncomfortable to sit in now, even with a pillow.
Things that are probably OK are their cookware, dishes, lighting and anything small.

When you first pull up to the Ikea warehouse you are just in awe of the vast size of it. THe warehouse is huge in fact you are guided through a maze throughout the store. It is very difficult to leave once you are inside because it is designed to keep you looking through everfything and buying stuff you do not want. What I think is lame is that you have to bag your own products. But hey I guess it does cut down on the prices.

this store is so not cool there is only one way out, if you want to leave once you get in you would have to walk all the way aorund in the store just to get out. its like a maze but they do have some neat stuff in there.

it's not just that i used to work here, but the food sucks, the furniture is difficult to put together since they all come in flat boxes, the managers are evil (ask dany)

This place is the contemporary furniture store. They got some really exotic things. I buy a lot of things from them. Even though they are somewhat pricy, common now, $150 for a simple computer chair.
PROS: varieties of things
CONS: a bit pricy

This has to be the best furnature store in the world. MOst of my room is Ikea products. The reason this store is so great is the huge selection of furnature items you can buy. This store feartures items for eveyone and in a wide varity of colors. The only downside to Ikea is that you have to assemble everything youself, which isnt to bad because the directions are simple to read and it comes with all the tools you need

If you are in to the more modern type of furniture, then Ikea is the place for you to go. This place is HUUUUGE! The prices are amazing, and most of the furniture is fairly easy to put together. The best part about this place is the cheap food you can get at the front of the store. It always seems to be super crowded though.

This is probably the hippest place to buy furniture in San Diego besides pottery barn. What i like about store is the vast colors. Everything stands out and looks very modern if that is your fashion. If you like low key furniture that might be a little classier, Ikea is not for you. You can go to jeromes or seomthing. Oh yea, they have cheap hot dogs as well

They show you how you can design your room with models on the second floor. i love walking through that place. its a fun and happy maze. go to ikea if you want cheap and pretty furniture.
