Sequoia Parents Nursery School

Great school, nice location in San Carlos, low co-op duties, reasonable tuition, wonderful teachers and parents. Play based school with some structure which prepares children very well for kindergarten when they graduate from SPNS. Would highly recommend the school!

Sequoia Parents Nursery School (SPNS) is an excellent preschool for children ages 2 - 5 years old. The location is in San Carlos across the street from Burton Park. The school has a play based curriculum, but there is ample academics especially in the Pre-K class to prepare children for Kindergarten. There is a large inside play area with art station, dress up, block area, snack tables, etc. Outside is a sizable play ground with play structure, sandbox, bike area, etc. The teachers are great and having parents involved is absolutely wonderful. This school has an excellent adult to child ratio as this is a co-op school. There are co-op duties for parents but the commitment level is a lot lower than many other co-ops in the area. There are many social events throughout the year to get to know other families too.
