Owner and stylist Angela Chong-Montague -- an accomplished artist (her conceptual art hangs on the walls) -- heads up a team of 12 stylists and assistants intent on achieving everything from the most natural to the most experimental styles. Patrons range from mid-twenties professionals to octagenarians, and may walk out with a simple cut, stunning new color, or edgy razor cut or faux-hawk.

I have searched the entire city for a good colorist. I have just stopped the search. Vicky is the one!!! Her colour job is subtle, sophisticated, and radiant! She listens to what you want, and also give you incredible advice. I am getting stopped so often by people on the street. The salon is very nice as well, great space

I am new to SF, and had already received a few bad haircuts at other places. But Angela at Alcheme was great. Professional and dedicated to her art. A+.

Shawn is a great hairstylist. Everytime I see him, he is completely honest about what I need, no icing on top. I trust him to give me the best cuts and color without the over-charges. I enjoy his laid back personality.

I have been a customer of Alcheme for quite a while now and Rudy is the best when it comes to color and cut. My hair falls nicely and the cut grows out perfectly...even longer it still looks like a cut :) My color, a nice shiny honey blond compliments my skin color. You can even go to him and just say what you are thinking, without having a complete idea yet. He works with you, listenes and executes very well.

I have tried many salons, because I have high standards when it comes to the skill of stlyists, friendliness/customer service of staff, and the automosphere...ALCHEME has all of this. Not only is it chic, but the quality of the services available is first class....as everyone walks out looking like a million bucks. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants to look the best that they can.

Getting so many compliments on my hair! Tried something new and can't believe I never knew my hair could look like this. The other reviews were right with Vicki. She is a magician with color and style. Found my new colorist and stylist, Vicki.

Vicki is a magician with color. I have chemically enhanced my hair since I was a sophomore in high school. Over the years, many different people have worked on my color but none was as good as Vicki.
Alcheme has a nice open space that is very comfortable. All of the staff were very pleasant and easy to work with.
