Took in my new 2010 Prius - got tinted windows, and Eddie spent time discussing levels of tint and UV protection, and what would work best for me. I chose "light" tint, with high quality UV protection and am extremely happy. And the work is guaranteed - no question. Also had the carnuba wax and detailing done -- the paint finish looks gorgeous and is smooth as glass. Awesome work all around, and Eddie is fun to work with.

I went here in June to tint my brand new 2009 Audi A4 all around. Being from New Hampshire I didn't have much experience with tinting shops but Startronics was such a positive and high-quality service that I had to go back again after totaling my car in August. Great looking tints all around, no bubbles, fast service under 3 hours easily. Cost is pretty decent for a West LA shop and the owner is honest up front stating his satisfaction guarantee. No brainer!

Needed my windows tinted for my 2006 Z06 Vette. Called around and got quotes from various tinters and STARTONICS was one of the best deals, but it was Eddie's professionalism was what sold me in the end. I am a 20 year military officer and attention to detail is ingrained into my psyche. A consummate ?do it yourselfer? I HATE when incompetent people work on my stuff, whether it be a car, my house, or anything else. Eddie?s workers were fast, professional and the vette look outstanding. Brazo Zulu to STARTONICS! I will definitely look to them to do a stereo upgrade when I return from deployment next year, because I KNOW it will be done right...THE FIRST TIME!

When I first went in, Eddy, the owner told me it would cost 275 to tint my car. After a lengthy discussion he said he would drop it to 250 if and ONLY if I left a review for him. Essentially, he is buying all of these positive reviews. DO NOT TRUST HIM WITH ANYTHING. All of these reviews are phony.

The owner Eddie was very helpful first over the phone and then in the actual shop. I went in to get my windows tinted and when I came back he had actually used the upgraded material at no extra cost due to a lower amount of the standard tint. I will be sure to come back to him about a new exhaust and sound system for my car.

I took a chance and went to this place, and I'm glad I did. The owner Eddie was cordial, the work on the car superb. I recommend getting your car done, whatever it is. Whether it's a Honda Civic like mine up to a Lambourghini, you'll see how a car should really look, inside and out. Smooth as a babies...well, you get the point. I got mine detailed. Eddie also offers window tinting. The other cars in the parking lot looked great! I'll eventually go back to get the tint. Highly recommended.

Eddie is an honest trustworthy guy who only delivers top notch service!!! He specializes in all types of cars and only uses the BEST HIgh quality ceramic films! I'm a 110% satisfied with his work and friendliness! I drove about an hour to Startronics to get my MINI coopers windows tinted and to be honest I would drive 3 hours if I had to just to have my cars windows tinted by Eddie and his team! This auto Stereo shop provides excellent service, and does so with a mind to educating the customer. When I've brought my BMW, I've been told what's needed now and what I can do now or wait for.

They fixed my radio, replaced my speakers and installed a bluetooth car kit, they showed me the old parts and didn't try to sell what I didn't need, but to inform me. I'm coming back for more with family and friends, that is for sure.

There's a strong feeling of trust here. They go out of their way to make sure the customer is satisfied and at a fair price.

I don't write reviews, in fact this is my third review ever. It took a long time to figured it out however these guys are great.

I went in to buy an amp kit to do my own install. Eddie complimented me for attempting to try on my own and explained what I needed to do and was ultra helpful. I made a slight mistake, and ended up taking my 1996 Jeep Cherokee back to the store the next day. Eddie accommodated my busy schedule, and did a job that was worth every penny. I looked over his work and everything is hidden, zip tied together, neatly cut, appropriately fitted and cleaned up. Thanks, Eddie! I'll be back for a tint job soon as the previous reviews rate you the best! Eddie hooks you up!

I had been looking to get my car windows tinted for several months, which led to the inevitability of me checking out every car on the road and judging whether or not I liked the work that was done. Hesitant to commit since so many cars had bubbled, purpled or pealing tint, I called Eddie. Not only did he assure me that that would not happen with his work, he also promised me a lifetime guarantee on the tint in the fluke chance it would. I decided to go for it and could not be happier with the outcome. No bubbles, no seams, perfect fit on all the windows. In a heartbeat I would go back to Eddie. He was a pleasure to work with, fast, courteous and extremely informative. He also showed me some of the other work he was doing, and from what I saw, I head back to him for detailing and audio work. On a technical note, I would recommend the ceramic plus tint, everything he said about it is true and I noticed the internal temp in my car drop from the first day. Thanks again, I absolutely love it!

I myself, am a very detailed oriented jet pilot who likes things done right! Well, I can say it was a pleasure working with Eddie over at startronics. I had my G35 coupe in for a window tint and car detail. . Even thought he might do ferrari's and lambo's he made me feel like my car was just as equal. Prices seem high in comparison with some other places, but after already going through a tint job at Al and Eds as well as a dealer one, i was willing to give it a try. WOW what a difference. If you research the quality of tint product he uses vs any other place, know wonder the price is a little higher, BUT ITS WORTH IT and if there is ever a problem with it, go back and he'll make it right.

As for the Auto detail. I take pride in my car and have been the only one to ever wash and wax it, but over time little imperfections happen that only a professional can fix. . The final result was extremely impressive! Both the exterior and interior were back to new ( and I'm not talking that cheap shiny look products that give cars a false and tacky look) I'm talking new car smell along with leather texture and surface being cleaned and conditioned multiple times and even leaving spare change and a 20$ bill one of the workers found under the seat in my glovebox. (hard to find honest workers like that anymore). Everything from the vents to my custom audio system screens were taken special care of and cleaned to a degree that is up to my standards.

The exterior was almsost flawless and all the imperfections and swirlmarks from basic day by day use were gone and through a multiple step paint restoration process from clay bar, plolish, wax, sealants..etc and more the pearl effect in the paint stood out more than when it was new and the gloss was amazing! Even my wheels which i personaly spend 30 min on each time i wash my car were well taken care of :) The engine bay was also detailed to the point where it could be a show car.

Hers it goes, After been cheap yes just cheap and ignorant took my Mercedes to a different tint shop in Santa Monica, I went there mainly because of the price. They damaged my door panels got my interior dirty, lots of bubbles and the worse attitude when I mentioned to the grumpy owner (I guess he only talks like that to woman if I was a man he would not take me for a dumb blond). After waiting for a few weeks and bubbles and dirt not going away I decided to go to Startronics, they showed me the difference. I had to re do my glass tinting with ceramic film, and cleaned what the other guys did on my tan interior.
Moral of the story YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR I have no one to blame but myself for been cheap.

talk is cheap, took my car and girlfriend's car for glass tinting. I'm very happy with results great film, excellent job, very knowable people.
I called a few places in Los Angeles, and by far this store was the most costumer service oriented.
I strongly recommend these guys.
I endorse this shop I work at Edmund's in Santa Monica and I will write a blog on Startronics and show work done.

I?d highly recommend STARTRONICS to anyone who is looking into window tinting. The prices are great, the quality is fantastic and the service is second to none. I was looking to get my windows tinted and after a good amount of research I came upon Startronics. The owner of the shop, Eddie, is a friendly and knowledgeable guy who really knows what he is doing. He told me about all the options and choices before helping me come to a suitable decision for a price that cannot be beat here in Santa Monica. I left my car at the shop overnight and by the time I woke up the next morning it was ready. The high quality tint looks great and I the service I got was more than I could ask for. I had them install a Code Alarm security system, and I'm very happy with these guys. First off, they happened to be out of stock on the particular model (CA-110) for which they gave me the initial price quote, and gave me a higher level model (CA-120) for the same price. They drove me home after I left the car with them, and picked me up when the installation was done. In the course of installing the security system, they even fixed my broken car stereo. After the installation, Eddie (the owner) gave me a detailed walkthrough of how the system works. Expediency of service is also amazing. They took my car immediately and finished the installation within a couple of hours. That was amazing considering that the electrical system in my car needed some cleaning out before they can even begin the installation. Highly recommended.

I recently purchased a Pioneer Navigation system for my BMW. Dealt with Eddie and he was very willing to work within my budget. No pressure to buy. Just recommended the best system at his best price and told me to think about it. I came back 1 hour later after comparing service integrity and more they installed it flawlessly that same day. I will be a repeat customer.
Also tinted my windows, and I must say by far the best tint job ever, I'm not an expert but I know one when I see one, I strongly recommend these guys.

This business is the best car electronics store to go to. Do not go to any other store. Eddie and his staff are extremely fun, professional and hassle free. No pushing, and no b.s.! I brought my car system in complete shambles. They helped me diagnose the problem, helped me pick out what would work best for me individually and installed it all quickly and professionally. They do not push or make you feel uneasy ever which many electronic store just try to sell any product for profit. Everything is done for the customer's benefit and I highly recommend them!!! I had blue tooth car kit installed and the service was excellent it save me from getting tickets. I loved the install clean professional and state of the art technology. Anyone who's been to Startronics knows Eddie and they know the level of service that they receive is top notch. I've been back to see him twice now and both times he and his staff have taken care of me and now I don't want my car to go to anyone else, anywhere else. I first went in for a new stereo installation, then for new speakers. The next time I go back, it'll be for a window tint job and kick-ass detailing that they also do. If you have a car, you could do much worse putting your car in the hands of someone else at some other shop. Not only are Eddie and the folks knowledgeable, reputable and friendly, but they also treat you well not matter what kind of car you drive. When I first when there there were several very expensive high-end cars compared to my nice and sporty Mazda 6, but they still rolled out the red carpet and treated me and my car in the matter that you would hope and expect, but don't always receive in this money and status driven day and age. I stand behind Eddie, his crew and my review. I also want to add for the ladies out there that as a lady, I never felt pressured, or like someone was trying to slick-talk me into some crazy car stuff. I was never talked down to or spoken to in a manner that made me feel like I knew nothing about cars, even though I know very little and Eddie did a great job of explaining things and answering my questions."

I recently had my windows tinted here, and I have to say, they did an excellent job. There were no bubbles, cuts, marks, or other distortions, and they cleaned the windows thoroughly before they applied the tint. The owner, Eddie, was very helpful and friendly. I was referred to STARTRONICS by my father, and Eddie remembered him by name. The service was quick, and they were done within the time they quoted me. The prices weren?t the cheapest, but with window tint, the saying is very true that you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend STARTRONICS to anyone looking to have their windows tinted.

I actually ran into their workshop by pure randomness with a very odd request. The manager is very kind and has a great "I can do it "attitude. They fixed my problem even though it was a bit unrelated to their business. That's how good they are. Price might not be the cheapest around, but they surely work fast and with quality .

I normally don't write reviews, specially when I have to write a review from my iPhone it takes for ever, however after reading some of the comments left below and my experienced with these guys it is very obvious it was written by a competitor, posing as a girl, Eddie does not smoke and I must say he is a cool cat. It is very simple go visit other stereo shops and then go to Startronics you will see the difference. In my opinion it is very refreshing when someone speaks English and have a personality.

I dealt with all the "other" places in Santa Monica and have never been as satisfied with them as I have with Startronics.

They are simply the best. Trust me... Great Service and Quality product it is very hard to find.

I can honestly say, that these guys are pretty good. Excellent service, product and knowledge. Have them show you some of the work they have done.

They have a great portfolio with work they have done thru the years I hope they show my car the black Toyota Preius with the cool tint.

I had an XM radio installed in my car and my daughter's car, and Eddie was very helpful in determining which product to use and helped me get the rebates that were offered and took his time helping me determine where to install the transmitters, and even though I chose a very difficult locations for the transmitters, they was installed very professionally and carefully. The cars were returned promptly and in excellent condition. The service was courteous and professional. I would confidently recommend Eddie and Startronics to anyone looking for quality service and products. You won't find anyone better on the Westside. Another company scratched my dashboard installing some hands free devices, and the differences in quality and service are immeasurable.

It's clear that Eddie and Startronics know the auto business and especially tinting windows. He did a great job. He tinted my BMW 335i sedan and it looks much slicker and sportier than before. The job was quick and done the same day-I picked up my car just over an hour later. I'm very happy with the window treatment-it looks like it came with the car straight from the factory. I'm so happy that I've decided to return to have him install my XM radio! This place is highly recommended!

What happens when you mix an Italian, Mexican, Indian and an American? You get STARTRONICS!!!

The Startronics staff are the most integral and helpful people in the buisness. It's extreamly difficult to find a legitimate automotive shop anywhere you go. Once I walked into the shop, I felt as though I were among friends. I visited Eddie to have a car alarm system installed. They did such a fast and quality-oriented job, I came back for more.

I recently had a complete entertainment system installed which included a 7" TV mounted in the dash, new speakers all around, great looking amplifiers and a custom mounted subwoofer enclosure in the trunk. I have to say, I was a little skeptical at first to have a sound system of this magnitude installed. But, my skeptisism was notheless useless. The entire system had more sound quality than an movie theater! Not only is their service beyond average, the quality of the installations are phenomenal! The custom mounted subwoofers and amplifiers in the trunk look as though they were ment to be there. Simply amazing.

I highly recommend Startronics to anyone. Not only are they involved in car sound systems, they tint car windows, install GPS systems, iPods, Bluetooth, and much more. I was recently informed by Eddie that they perform full car detailing (Detail? I asked the same thing. Detailing a car is a full paint restoration upon a thorough cleaning of the interior.).

Check this shop out. It will be well worth your time and money to check out Eddie's shop before you go anywhere else.

I was very impressed with the way I was treated at Startronics. As a woman you feel that you may be taken advantage of but, not at Startronics. The staff is very friendly , helpful and make you feel very comfortable with the choices you have to make. They were very open an honest with me about the type of stereo I should put in my SUV. Xm radio & the right ipod integration. I was so please that I went back a few days later and had them tint my Range Rover. There work is done in a very clean & fast fashion. I had no regrets. My 12 year old daughter calls them "Pimp My Ride" because they do it all! They have gain a life time friend. I send all my friends and family there and they are just as pleased. Was accommodated to the highest extent - Eddie provided transportation while my vehicle was being worked on. Went for a detail and was so impressed that I decided to go with an entire new audio/video system with a rear view camera and a bluetooth for my car. - Integrity is a rare experience here in Santa Monica- I found it here, and recommend them for any and all service they provide! I visited a few tint shops in Santa Monica (there is one that I got scared) and once I saw Startronics and talked to Eddie it was obvious this is where I should leave my car.
Very clean shop & great customer service. They obviously know what they are doing here. My car turned out great! (2008 Mercedes Benz) Just what they promised, only took 3 hours. They were highly recommended by Mercedes Benz where I bought my car, Citysearch and by people like you. This is definitely a higher class tint shop, not your average place. It is a bit pricier than other shops but you get what you pay for! Excellent tint job and costumer service, I highly recommend Startronics to everyone. A 10++++++++ film & service.

I called around for different quotes. When I called Startronics, they were one of the few places that warned about the possible interference of metalized film and the antenna located in the rear windshield. Most other shops did not warn of this problem. Then when I read the manual, it also warned of this problem. I didn't want to risk the chance of using metal film, even though other shops said there shouldn't be a problem when I asked about the interference (after learning of the risk). So I went with the 3M scotch tint carbon Ceramic film over the metalized film. The guy at the front desk (Eddie) was very nice and patient as I thought about which film and darkness to get. He was even nice about letting me think it over and come back. He also patiently answered my questions. I took the car in and went shopping with a friend. They called me about 3 hours later (Toyota Preius 11 windows) and said it was completed. As far as prices go, it was a little pricier than other places, but I'm still glad I chose Startronics for my Tint. They did a great job tinting my car. Although they are one of the more expensive places, I highly recommend them for their Costumer service, proffesionalism and quality.
My friend took her Toyota Preius to another place in Santa Monica, and her tint job experienced was horrible, they scratched her car, bad film with lots of bubbles, when she called a week later was mistreated and they don't want to give her money back.

By reading the other reviews I was surprised. However now that I became a costumer I can see why people speak so highly. These guys are great. Other shops are learning it is an educational process for them, They are not professionals yet. Trust me I paid for my mistake. You will be very happy @ Startronics. If you want to be cheap go to other places. In my opinion You pay for quality and knowledge.

I take all my cars to Eddie at Startronics and he makes them look unique, sophisticated and top of the line. Whether it's a new sound/video system, tinting the windows, slapping on some nice wheels, rear view camera, body kit, radar detector/jammers, navigation, satellite radio, smoked out lights, detailing or anything I can think of, Startronics does it the right way, on time and at the best prices. I recommend avoiding all the pretenders out there in LA and going to the real deal on Wilshire!

STARTRONICS did a beautiful job on my brand new car.

I was so nervous about getting my brand new Lamborghini tinted, since I never had a tint job FROM there before, but after research I found I liked CERAMIC tints best . It is more expensive but it wont affect your GPS or radio reception + that is what the Dealer recommends.

I called to Startronics & found they use Ceramic tint. Eddie himself answers the phone. He is very nice and helpful.

The business seems to Specialize in more than one thing but not to worry, they do an excellent job. The TINT LOOKS SO AMAZING! Highly recommended!

In fact after I went back to the Dealer and showed them everything they did to my car. (tinted my windows, Powder coated my wheels, installed a radar detector, I pod integration I heard a few days later Startronics now works with The Lamborghini Dealer.

I got my windows on my car tinted, and it feels so much better now, one of the reasons was, it kept annoying my kids, the sun was to bright in there faces.
I like them too, because my car now looks a bit more stylish.

Eddie and Startronics really are the best you can get in L.A.

I was referred here and it was everything my friend said it would be. got a new car stereo, speakers and GPS Navigation system at a great price and great service!

My car is a 1980's mercedes with lots of little things half-working. As I was leaving Eddie was even fixing my electric car windows, sunroof, door, and other little problems, even though i only paid for the sound system and GPS.

Really can't go wrong here.

Pros: The best in L.A.

Eddie at Startronics did a perfect job on tinting my new truck. He fit me in the same day and got me out of there fast which was necessary for that busy day for me. He also gave me a price that definately beat any other competitors. The job was perfect and I couldn't be happier with my truck.
