Home Depot

Home Depot has terrible delivery services. I ordered a washer and dryer. The delievery assocaties refused to take it up the stairs into the laundry room. I had told the associate from whom I purchased the units that my laundry room was upstairs, he assured me it would not be a problem. Once the delievery men finally took it upstairs they said they could not hook up the electric dryer because it was against city regulations. They insisted that i MUST have a gas dryer (which is conveniently more expensive). I had explained to the sales associate that I had both an electric and gas hook up but that I prefered the electric. If it was really against city regulations the sales person should have informed me of that. I had to wait another 3 weeks to have a gas dryer delievered and installed.

I just purchased a dishwasher from home depot last week and it was just delievered and the installation rep said he could not hook it up because he was not licensed to "hardwire." I am trying to get home depot to send someone else out to install it but I have been playing phone tag all morning.

I love shopping at Home Depot. The options are really endless here. We go looking for one thing and once we get there we find so many other things that we would love to have.

I must say the staff here is very helpful and knowledgeable. We wanted to get some blinds for our home and went there without any idea as to what kind we wanted. The staff there helped us thru the entire selection process and we are really thankful for them.
