Totally untrustworthy, dishonest and unrelieable! Accepted my offer on a car and then (within 2 hours) sold it to someone else for more. They admitted their 'mistake' and said they were sorry. Sorry is the right way to describe this kind of behavior in 2011. We had a contract that the chose to dishonor without a word to me. Other web site also show many others with BAD experiences in service. There any number of other BMW dealerships in this area, go to them. Aviod Aviod Aviod!

i have never had a bad experience at new century BMW . I have owned several bmws and have had all of them serviced at the dealer over the last 20 years. Exceptional service team. Me and my wife will not go any where else.

This place is a complete rip off and the customer service is a joke! Never go here for service!

I've been here a few times for repairs on my Z3, and every time they recommend I buy ridiculously overpriced services that I don't need (like over $2000 to replace seat rails that literally work just fine) and rip me off on the services I do need.

Recently I needed a muffler repair. The estimate was over $1300 for a replacement, including (you're not going to believe this) $145 for them to "check and advise".
...
"CHECK AND ADVISE"? $145??? I already knew what was wrong and I told them when I got there!! The best part is that I left and got my repair done at Orange Grove Mufflers for $60 and it is good as new! That's 95% less!!! I'm so glad I didn't get the job done by New Century BMW!

Customer service was terrible the last time I was there as well: Their guy was 15 minutes late to my appt (which was a big deal because I needed to catch a carpool to get to work afterwards). I had also asked in advance for a shuttle to take me back to Pasadena (5 whole miles) and it STILL hadn't shown up 51 minutes after my appt!!! I had my friend pick me up from Alhambra and the shuttle never showed up!! Later that afternoon when I told my helper that I thought the "estimate" of $145 he gave me that morning was for the whole repair (and not just the "check and advise") he literally laughed at me on the phone. I hope he gets fired, as that is what he deserves.

This dealer is the most popular among Chinese people who live in Diamond bar. They actually set the price high in the beginning, but big room for bargain. I bought my car there, and got a reasonable price

Ripoff!! This place is a huge ripoff.

I've taken my 330i here while still under service warranty. When my clutch went out in October, took it there because I wanted to have "experts" work on it. They replaced all major components of the clucth system including the clutch assembly. Paid over $2,600 to have them fix the problem. Lo and behold, the problem is back a month later. Took it back and they wanted to charge me an additional $300 for labor to fix the same problem.

Also had a problem with the coolant leaking in June last year and they "fixed" it in June. Again, the problem comes back and they want to charge me an additional $500 to fix the problem.

This place does not take accountability for the service they give. Will rip you off if your service warranty is out!

It was unbelievable to me how rude and disrespectful the team at New Century BMW was. This is the first vehicle we have leased from them and it will be the last. I refuse to even go back to that location to get my car serviced. We have leased 2 other vehicles from Pacific BMW in Glendale and one cant even compare the two locations. My daughter took her brand new 3 series in because when she shifted when she put her car into reverse it would fo forward then back into to reverse. This to me is a serious problem that puts her and others in danger, but the service team told her unless she can produce the problem on the spot they couldnt do anything about it. They refused to service her vehicle or even look at it. Unbelievable!!!!! This not the type of service BMW promises. Save yourself the trouble and never lease or purchase from New Century BMW in Alhambra.

These jerks did a full bait-and-switch on me. After the original estimate the came back to me 3 more times to push up the price of the work. They charged me $740 for an inspection and didn't even give me the findings. If you take your car to these con artists expect to get taken for a ride.

Pacific BMW is much better. Better service, better mechanics, better management...

I have just returned from a service appt at this dealership. To my great relief (given some of the reviews here), my experience was excellent. My appt was for a simple, low mileage oil change. Greg was my customer service rep. He was nice, helpful and very informative. My car was ready as-promised in one hour. He took me out to my car and then spent time answering all my questions; looking under the hood with me to explain some things; sat in my car explaining more things; and bringing me additional explanatory materials. In addition, they had completely detailed my car. It was beautiful. And I was impressed. True, my service need was a simple one that was covered under warranty. But I was very happy with the experience regardless. Ask for Greg if you can. He is great. The only reason I am not giving them five stars is because my service was so simple. I would like to try them out for a more complicated job. (And the TV was a little loud in the waiting area.)

My family and I were there on Sunday, 10/27. It was a slow day there. Very few people. I guess because my husband left his BMW at home and we used our CrV, no one cared to introduced themselves or welcome us into the show room. We got stared at a lot, (what are we going to do? shoplift a car?!) and after at least 15 mins someone came to say Hello. Never said, can I help you, never said, if you have questions let me know. We asked about a 6 series convertible and all we got was a "you have to order it". Lot didnt seem to have much of selection. Might as well been in a desert. We'll take our business somewhere else.

The service I got was okay, however, my three hundred dollar sunglasses were stolen out of the glove compartment, and the response I got was "Sorry, there's really nothing I can do - these things happen."

I have a 2002 BMW M3 that was running rough and had a check engine light on. I took the M3 to an independent shop and they diagnosed it as bad ignition coils. They also told me that BMW put out a bulletin on defective ignition coils and that they will be covered under warranty even though the car is out of the factory warranty. I took it to a BMW Service Center in Glendale and they will not replaced the coils because I had aftermarket spark plugs. I told them about defective ignition coils and they wanted over $300 to put in new facoty spark plugs then they can replace the ignition coils. There is nothing wrong with the aftermarket spark plugs that I replaced and they can't cause coil failures! I declined the work and took it to New Century BMW. Abe was my Service Adviser and they replaced the coils under warranty and car runs great! Very happy with New Century. Disappointed at the Service Center in Glendale.

I buy all of my OEM BMW parts from New Century BMW.
The guys there are honest and treat you well. I prefer to go to them than the local dealer in Glendale.

PROS: honest
CONS: BMW OEM Parts are not cheap

To be fair to the other review, I have serviced the car yet.

I had a very good experience with New Century BMW. I highly recommend my sales associate Andy Jin and his manager Rick. I purchased my car in late April 2006.

I told Andy what I was looking for and how much I wanted to pay. Andy looked for over 6 weeks until he found a car that matched and he called me in.

Friendly sales staff.

They are moving a block or two east very soon.

PROS: Andy Jin, Sales Staff, They Listen
CONS: None Yet

service is brisk and friendly at new century bmw. you pull up there and usually there is not much of a wait. at other dealer service departments, Ive noticed the line can get unwieldy and customers are sometimes unattended to. This is not the case at new century bmw.

I have noticed workers there are very bottom-line motivated they really super want you to give their dealership 5-stars when corporate calls you up wanting to know how you were treated some workers will try to guilt-trip you into giving them a 5-star rating, even if you felt like service was more like 4- or 3-stars they dont want you to be honest with corporate. So some workers will give mediocre service but will be super nice when they know you are about to get out of their face.

I bought a certified Pre-Owned 2001 BMW 540i from New Century. At first I was happy, staff was very attentive, and they gave me a great deal.

It has been a little over six months since I financed the car on 2/9/05 and so far I've had to:

-Fix a broken cupholder
-Fix a bad instrument cluster
-Have the Computer reprogrammed
-Put in a new clutch to the tune of $1,265.00

To add insult to injury, a clutch is considered wear n' tear, not part of the warranty, and neither the dealer or BMW service could do better than giving me a 10% discount.

Certified waste of money - stay away from these guys PERIOD

PROS: Very friendly
CONS: Poor quality vehicles

The people that work in here are so polite and friendly and they always have some biking tips whenever I go in here. They are truly passionate about cycling, that is something rare for a business to have, passion.

I have not purchased a vehicle from them but I have a 2011 BMW that I service there. They have great customer service and a very comfortable lounge area with great coffee.\n\nThe people in service did an outstanding job addressing my issues with my car. Everything about the whole process is painless and just easy. I drop my car off, get a loaner, which I like because they are brand new cars.\n\nMy service adviser is Tim. He is extremely friendly, courteous, and professional. My car gets worked on and all issues resolved promptly. I also like how easy it is to communicate with them via email. If I have questions about my car or anything else, I have a ""go-to"" guy to ask my questions and I get a response back that same day.\n\nOther advisers could care less if you sent them emails so to me, this really means going above and beyond.\n\nGreat place for service if you are in the LA area. Next time I'm in the market for a new BMW, I will gladly give their sales dept a try.

Went in to get my car checked for failure to start. Once they see you can't get the car started they got you by the balls. They charged $145 to ""diagnose"" the car after I told them exactly what's wrong with the car. They charge $800 for a thermostat. Their reason, it's genuine BMW not OEM. I looked at various auto parts for ""genuine BMW"" the part is $35 They quote $400 for the part and $200 labor. Then they say it'll be ready by the end of the day, then you get call saying it wont be ready until the next day.

I live out of town, and saw a car I wanted to buy on their web site. I tried to buy the car over four days when while they told me every story you can imagine. They negotiated for three days before accepting my offer. I told them we had a deal! Then within two hours they turned around and told me they had sold the car to someone else. Completely lacking ethics and honesty.\n\nAdmitted that they were wrong and offered to find me another car. Obviously brain dead to think I would by even a bag of peanuts from them after they wasted my time.\n\nAvoid at all costs. There are lots of good BMW dealers, don't waste your time with these guys.

This place is a complete rip off and the customer service is a joke! Never go here for service! \n\nI've been here a few times for repairs on my Z3, and every time they recommend I buy ridiculously overpriced services that I don't need (like over $2000 to replace seat rails that literally work just fine) and rip me off on the services I do need.\n\nRecently I needed a muffler repair. The estimate was over $1300 for a replacement, including (you're not going to believe this) $145 for them to ""check and advise"".\n...\n""CHECK AND ADVISE""? $145??? I already knew what was wrong and I told them when I got there!! The best part is that I left and got my repair done at Orange Grove Mufflers for $60 and it is good as new! That's 95% less!!! I'm so glad I didn't get the job done by New Century BMW!\n\nCustomer service was terrible the last time I was there as well: Their guy was 15 minutes late to my appt (which was a big deal because I needed to catch a carpool to get to work afterwards). I had also asked in advance for a shuttle to take me back to Pasadena (5 whole miles) and it STILL hadn't shown up 51 minutes after my appt!!! I had my friend pick me up from Alhambra and the shuttle never showed up!! Later that afternoon when I told my helper that I thought the ""estimate"" of $145 he gave me that morning was for the whole repair (and not just the ""check and advise"") he literally laughed at me on the phone. I hope he gets fired, as that is what he deserves.

I recently had one of the worst car experiences in my life. I went to New Century BMW in Alhambra to get an Oil Change and a Turn Light Bulb replaced. So I give them the keys and they take my car. \n\nAn hour later I get back my BMW X5 4.4i but it looks and feels different. \n\nThey Stole one of my BMWs New Headlight Assemblies and replaced it with an Old Dirty Diffused Cloudy Discolored Headlight Assembly! They also took the Air out of my Tires! My BMW X5's two front tires purposely flatten to 28 psi & the back ones to 32 psi, the new Tire Stems on my Goodyear Response Edge Performance Tires had been broken & twisted! (They are 44 PSI Tires) & it seemed that they didn't even top off my Oil!!!!\n\nI was charged $500 to have my X5 trashed / Do not take your car to New Century BMW in Alhambra / There is no control there\n\nI need some help in fighting & correcting this, I contacted the Manager but he hasn't returned my call, do I need to contact the Better Business Bureau of the United States America - \n

Ripoff!! This place is a huge ripoff. \r\n\r\nI've taken my 330i here while still under service warranty. When my clutch went out in October, took it there because I wanted to have ""experts"" work on it. They replaced all major components of the clucth system including the clutch assembly. Paid over $2,600 to have them fix the problem. Lo and behold, the problem is back a month later. Took it back and they wanted to charge me an additional $300 for labor to fix the same problem.\r\n\r\nAlso had a problem with the coolant leaking in June last year and they ""fixed"" it in June. Again, the problem comes back and they want to charge me an additional $500 to fix the problem.\r\n\r\nThis place does not take accountability for the service they give. Will rip you off if your service warranty is out!\r\n\r\n

I'm lazy about these review stuff, but i decided to write this out so other customer won't get fooled like I was. One day my car key could not open my car and I went to New Century BMW to get a new car key. They said my car key is absolutely fine and it's my car that had a problem (without even exam my car). So I towed my car to this place, they first run a complete examination ($149) and said my car computer is broken and need a new one ($889). After all these and after one week, they finally called me saying ""They new computer is not working and now you need a new car key ($249)..."" I called them millions of times and they refuse admit they've made a mistake in a very bad attitude. Although i live only couple miles away from New Century, I'm now going to other dealer with better service! Absolutely not going back again!

Pros: nice building outside

Cons: Mislead customer to get more unnecessary service.

This is a typical asian catering BMW dealer, with terribly high prices, terrible service, very rude and stupidly slow salesmen who cant even find their own car keys! They yell at you, and even talk down to you like if you dont spend a couple thousand extra, you are a worthless asian.. I would avoid this place and goto another bmw dealer for any car purchase or services. These guys will try to rip you off, they lie alot and show you bogus MSRP and invoice prices, do your own research and learn the truth!\r\nOn the bright side, the new building looks nice, plasma tv, coffee, etc etc.

Brought my car in to have the thermostat replaced and was over-billed 1.6 hours worth of labor charge (over a $200 difference). When I pointed this out to the dealership they would not refund the difference. The customer service is terrible, especially in this situation where the management was rude and unreasonable. My recommendation to anyone is to stay away from this dealership for repairs and search out a good independent BMW garage. I originally purchased my BMW from this dealership. After this incident I refuse to give them any more business and have been spreading the word around to friend/family regarding their unfair practices. THE SHORT ANSWER IS STAY AWAY - THIS DEALERSHIP WILL CHEAT YOU IF GIVEN THE CHANCE.

I brought my car in for some insurance repair work to my dash. I figured if you could trust anyone it would be the dealership! WRONG! I brought the car in ahead of time to get an estimate. The service advisor I dealt with was Dan Cao. I went through and showed him what needed to be done - pointed out each part. I then went to the insurance company and they approved the work so I made an appointment and left my car with the dealership for a day to get the work done. The Insurance appraiser gave me a list of parts he had approved to have replaced. I gave this to Dan and made it clear that should they need any more parts they were to call the Insurance company for approval. Dan assured me it would all be taken care of. When I arrived later that evening to pick up the car it appeared that nothing had been done to the dash and the bill was for about $75 over the estimate amount. It turned out the Insurance adjustor had listed the wrong parts and both Dan and Ben, the manager were very quick to point a finger at the Insurance company. Yes, they made a mistake, but had Dan double checked the paperwork he would have caught this. He SHOULD have caught this instead of just pushing the car through to get the work done not having any clue what the service dept. was doing to it. I found the manager Ben to be condescending and I thought he should have stepped up and admitted their fault in not double checking the parts list, but he just kept blaming the Insurance company. Bottom line is that if they are this reckless and unconcerned as to what was being done to my car they are not the kind of people I want working on it. I have taken it to a great Indie shop and the customer service I have recieved is leaps and bounds above what this dealership had to offer me. I am now sure the work will be done correctly and professionally. Too bad this dealership could not accomplish this!

My experience at BMW in alhambra is great. they are always so friendly and stright forward. the day i call them is the day i get my car problems fixed, they are just willing to bend over backwards. The sales guy who has sold me a number of cars is the same one I always contact and he refers me to the various other parts of the lot...his name is Hamlet. Hamlet has been there for a long time and knows a lot about the cars and is great at what he does.
