La Salles

80s night at LaSalle's is a collection of the worse 80's music ever made: Hey, Mickey (You're So Fine), We Built This City, Betty Davis Eyes, that type of drivel. No glam rock, no dance music, nothing. There's some fat, dorky 24 year old (not born in the 80's) that looks like he never danced in his life playing at DJ. There's a few lesbians drinking themselves stupid on the dance floor then rolling around on it. If you're 20 (ooops, I mean 21), there's lots of cute 20 year olds (er, 21) desperate to be cool there, but, you know, cute 20 year olds can party anywhere. For the rest of us, this place sucks. There's hip hop on the patio, but that's painful to listen to, ya'know? (wazzup dawg).

The Bear is better any night of the week. If you're over 22, stay away from LaSalle's.

Yes I agree that it is very old but fun place on Saturdays for 80's night. My aunt who's Chico alumni from back in the day mentioned she used to go there out on the town too. I asked her if she ever went to 80s night on Saturdays and she said, "IT WAS THE 80's EVERYDAY" haha ooops my bad. Good times and great fun to be had at LaSalles.

After the Bidwell Mansion I think La Salles is the second oldest building in Chico...okay maybe not but they have been around for a long time for a reason. Every time I stop by I have a blast and my hopping usually stops here.
