Our San Diego auto shop is family owned and operated and we've been serving San Diego since 1981 with reliable, honest and dependable service. Through AAA's customer survey we have been rated as one of the top 5% auto repair shops in Southern California. We work on most foreign and domestic vehicles, but we specialize in the repair and service of GM, all Asian vehicles, Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler, Volkswagen and Audi vehicles. One way of protecting your vehicle's warranty and avoiding unexpected breakdowns, is by performing the maintenance services recommended by your vehicle's manufacturer. We can do all of your maintenance services for you as well as advise you of any factory recalls. All of the services done at our San Diego auto repair shop are by A.S.E. certified technicians.

Great place to keep your car in top shape

Tom's is the best auto repair shop I've ever been to. Tom is very honest and his prices are fair.
He has all the latest computer equipment to give you the right diagnosis every single time, so you don't waste money on repairs you don't need. I drive a lot back and forth to the desert, and Tom keeps my Buick running in tip-top condition, from oil changes to computer malfunctions.
He's not the cheapest place in town, but then you get what you pay for. If you want clean, honest, efficient work, take your car to Tom's.

An actual Trustworthy Mechanic!

I've been really happy with the work that Tom's done for me in the 3 years that I've gone to him. I never worry that he's left anything undone (one of my friends went to one of those fast lube places & they forgot to put oil in after they drained the old oil!) They do good work at Toms and are honest about what needs to be done. If you want peace of mind bring your car to Tom. The waiting room is small, but hey, there is free coffee!
