Reviews for Zip Zap Hair

Ratings_icons Good cuts, good advice. Nice people. Relaxed and unpretentious

Nice little Lower Haight hair place giving you style without pretense. What's not to love? Even when I was struggling to grow my hair out they offered me excellent support and interim cuts that kept me from looking like a freak during the worst of it. Prices are within reason. Not had a bad cut yet. Ask for Monica!

Ratings_icons Not Sacrificing Quality

Coming from southern California, I don't find the haircuts at all expensive at zip zap. I feel quality and great styles are hard to find when you have curly hair, so I was initially cautious about having Monica as my stylist. However, she turned my hippie turned hair into a really modern city chic look for which I received numerous compliments.
I can't vouch for all haircuts, but if you are someone like me, who is sick of drabby curly hair that you always want to straighten or tame from turning into a big ball of wonder, than zip zap is great. I have been going to Monica for about a year now, and each time she changes the style with how I have become and what I am feeling like looking. Your hair style should exemplify the sort of look you are wearing clotheswise, and having curly hair shouldn't refrain you from getting a great cut, so I definitely am a happy loyal customer and would recommend going to zip zap any day!

PROS: great mellow atmosphere, easy to get appointments
CONS: not for those wishing for a 20 dollar cheap cut.

Ratings_icons At least its cheap

I had my hair died and asked me questions like " is it OK if the color doesn't go all the way too your roots?" Uh - no, it's not okay. So they did it and yep. The dye didn't go to the grey roots, whick makes me wonder why dye yor hair at all? Or at least why dye your hair at this place, because you will just have to go somewhere else!

Zip Zap Hair is a trendy and lively salon with talented and innovative stylists. If you are looking for a color or just a great cut it is the place to go. The costs for color and cut are a little high, but it is really worth it. As my mother put it, you wear your hair everyday, it is worth the investment. I would recommend James, he is great with color.

Since I've been getting so many compliments on my new hair cut, I wanted to share the name of Mr Supercut: James @ Zip Zap. He's not cheap, but he knows his job. He was trained in Ireland and has been a hairdresser for 11 years. Highly recommended

PROS: extremely good
CONS: quite expensive
