Borders Books & Music

Located near the beach on 3rd Street Promenade, the interior of this Borders location seems smaller than it actually is, due to the arrangement of bookshelves as well as the fact that the bookstore spreads upwards (in 3 floors) rather than outwards (in the style of the usual 2-floor Borders). Book titles may or may not be available when you visit - I have had about a 50/50 chance of finding what I'm looking for each time - but any fanatic of 3rd Street and/or L.A.'s nightlife will love this locale's late hours and proximity to the remainder of the Promenade.

What you need in the right evironment. Step inside and enjoy the view of outside for this 3 story development. Quiet and peaceful way of deciding on what you're looking for. Books, etc. are what you're looking for and the ordering is another way to get what you need. Staff is right there for you (which is optimal in deciding).

Borders has the best selection of books and music and gift items on the Third Street Promenade. They have a nice coffee shop, too, where you can sit and relax. The whole store is very brightly lit and clean. The only bad thing is they have NO public restrooms anymore! That is very inconvenient!

There's a great selection of magazines, though I can't say the same for the books. I tried to look for books that had information about party and club culture in the United States, but I couldn't even find one. One more thing: where are the restroomswhen you need them?
