The River View Restaurant and Lounge doesn't presume anything. It is a small, local restaurant that has been around as long as anyone can remember. That fact alone should tell you that it has quality. For a restaurant to last more than a year in the town of Three Rivers is an accomplishment. The bar is inside, as is seating, though seating is limited when bands play inside on the floor-dining area. Outside there is much more seating, with a cabana and a wonderful view of the river (hence the name). It's really only a leaps distance from the patio! They don't do breakfast, it should be mentioned. The food selection is fairly All-American. The pizza is excellent, by far the best in town, which you can get to-go should you choose. Great burgers as well, BBQ out front in the evening, where you can even watch if you want (though you might piss off the fry cook). Other fare ranges from sandwiches, steak, soups, salads, fish, and a varying dessert menu. As mentioned before, local and sometimes not so local bands play Friday and Saturday nights, and Sunday afternoons. Open late! The staff knows what they are about and will always put your needs first. Know that from experience. Cons: It is amazingly busy in the summer. Hope they aren't understaffed. All in all, great eats! Definitely want to check this place out if your in the neighborhood.
