over ratio to save money
by Anonymous
at many times I have witnessed that the teachers in the facility are out of ratio. Liscensing requires Pre-school age children ages 3-4 yrs.must have a ratio of 1-12. It seems they are always dispersing children, when #'s are low, to another teachers so that they can send a teacher home, therefore the company saves on their labor $. Not at all having in mind what this does to the children. The turnover rate with teachers is high and they have no character building implimented in the curriculum.

As far as daycare centers go, La Petite Academy is a good option. The location is good on the corner of Seco and Copperhill and the staff is friendly and nice. The facility looks clean and well kept but there does not seem to be enough outside space for the kids to really run and play like they need to. They have van shuttles that can pick up your kids for after school care.
