I can't say enough about Wayne Dvorak and his acting classes. He is much more than just an acting coach. he is the most caring, professional, humble and dedicated person that I have met. if everyone else in this world was more like Wayne, it would be a much better place. He treats everyone with respect and cares about them like they are his own. Even after I left his classes he continued to be like a mentor and a manager. Whenever I come upon something in my career, I know that i can count on him for insightful guidance and advice.

Wayne's class taught me so much about acting. I wish that I had asserted myself more during some of the classes. It doesn't help to just do enough to get by, you need to go above and beyond to push yourself with every exercise! What you take away depends on you and Wayne is the best person to guide you through the learning process. His couching will make you much more real, honest in your acting.

Not only does his life teach you about acting, but also about life. I would highly recommend Wayne Dvorak to any of my friends, it was one of the best choices I have made in LA. If you try his class, push yourself each and every week, and you will grow more as an actor and a person than you though you ever could.

And if Wayne reads this... Thank you for everything! I could not be who I am without you.

Wayne Dvorak excels in teaching the Meisner technique. He has created a very supportive atmosphere at the studio and strives to bring out your honest emotions. His enthusiastic teaching style, relaxed attitude, and honest critiques encouraged me to reach acting levels I didn't think were possible for me. He is very helpful when I have questions or concerns about the business part of acting, as well as headshots, auditions, agents, etc. I now have more confidence when meeting casting directors. Wayne truly cares about his students and our success. I've never felt that I was just another number in Wayne's studio.

Wayne Dvorak's acting studio is one of the best meisner studio in Los Angeles. Wayne not teaches you invaluable tools for acting, he's also a mentor who helps guide you through the industry. Under Wayne's guidance I have booked multiple jobs, including Charlie Wilson's War, starring Tom Hanks And Julia Roberts, directed by Mike Nichols. Wayne is the best acting coach in the city, period.

Wayne is excellent in explaining the Meisner technique! Every class he makes sure every student has a turn to act. He also is informative and helpful with audition techniques. Not only does he have his students work with Meisner techniques and exercises, but he has us incorporate the techniques in scripted scenes. Wayne prepares his actors for the intensive acting roles so they are prepared and ready for any opportunity.

Wayne Dvorak's acting studio in Los Angeles is one of the best technique classes bar none. Wayne's interpetation of the Meisner Technique is a class that you are given the attention that every actor yearns for. He is a amazing teacher that takes time to give you feed back in every class that is priceless. Take it from a student. You can't get this type of instruction for a reasonable price anywhere in Los Angeles.

I am currently in Wayne's class. I have taken many, many classes in Los Angeles, and I have never gotten as much out of class as I have with Wayne. I was always a very self-conscious actor until I started learning the Meisner Technique. Wayne creates a safe, unique environment so that you feel like you can truly be yourself and work on your craft. Not to mention how supportive and helpful he is. He is amazing about answering questions and taking time out of his day to help out his students. I totally recommend Wayne's class for anyone who wants to come out of their shell and learn to act naturally!

I am currently attending acting classes at Wayne Dvorak acting studios which is conveniently located in the Los Angeles area.
Wayne Dvorak teaches the Mesiner Technique. I am generally very shy and reserve.
I have developed as an actress and a person with Wayne's skillful guidance a wide range of emotional expression and no longer afraid to let it rip!
My confidence builds with every class!

I totally enjoy Wayne Dvorak acting classes. I recommend it to all aspiring actors.

I have been studying Meisner since I started seriously pursuing acting about 4 years ago. I trained in Orlando with a good teacher and then moved to Los Angeles. I took other acting classes and audited Meisner classes, but could not find a fit. I knew when I started with Wayne that it would change me as an actor. I was right. Over the past year I have become a more confident actor. Wayne pushes you to really emotionalize your circumstances. In his class I have really opened up emotionally, learned to listen, and can get to the depth I have only barely grasped before. I would recommend him to any actors who want to challenge themselves to be great not just good.

A previous student of Wayne Dvorak, I found that his class not only helped me become a better actor, it ultimately made me a more conscious, aware, honest person. With the intuition of a psychologist (or even a psychic at times!) he really understands not only how his students act but how they THINK and feel. I feel completely honored having been taught by such an incredible teacher who I often refer to as "the American Anthony Hopkins". Having experienced wonderful acting classes at UCLA, I still think that Wayne Dvorak is by far the best, most insightful teacher I have ever had. He is a true mentor as he is not only knowledgable about just about anything in "the industry" (or in general -- I've gotten sage advice from him about landlord issues!) -- he is also extremely trustworthy. And even though I have chosen to pursue writing and painting as two of my main passions in life, I feel completely enriched by my experience in his class and I truly believe that what I have learned has impacted my writing and my art -- as well as how I perceive myself and communicate with others.
So do I think you should take his class? Not necessarily. Only take his class if you are serious about being a great actor. More importantly, take his class only if you are fully willing to throw yourself into a powerful introspective experience.

Wayne??s curriculum is one of the most comprehensive approaches to acting. His methods help actors understand there Unique Selling Features and acting potential. Knowing this, strengthens your confidence level, increases your momentum and provides a creative route to exploring and enjoying the emotional journey from fantasy points of view. The insight we gain from the Meisner technique sets precedence over preconceived notions of how we think we should act versus what it takes to portray honesty and reality moments.

If you??re looking for a well rounded class to help you magnify your acting capabilities and competitive advantage, I strongly recommend acquiring the wealth of information Wayne shares to become a respectable actor. One last thing, his funny sarcasm brings an amusing element to his teachings?have a great time...

I am a professional actor in L.A. I have been cast in films and tv shows opposite stars like Al Pacino, Matt LeBlanc, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Benjamin Bratt. I didn't have much technique and got by mostly with my naturalism and personality. Still, because I worked in television, film, and commercials fairly consistently, I had my fair share of ego. About a year ago, I decided that I wanted to step things up. It was time to get my skill level up to a point where I was able to do anything as an actor, no matter the size or scope of the role. I looked around town and decided to join Wayne Dvorak's class. I wasn't sure but I thought I'd give it a shot. Almost a year later, I am completely blown away. I have come so far and my ego is fully in check...I realize how much work is still left for me. Wayne strips away all the layers of conditioning for his students so that they are able to react truthfully in each moment. It takes such talent for him to be able to read each individual with such accuracy. The quality of everyone's work has grown so much and it's very exciting to be a part of this process. He keeps the class size small and expects us to take part in rehearsals during the week. Attendance is very important but it isn't a chore...it's a comfortable environment that I look forward to coming to every week. Above all, he is a brilliant man and his lines of communication are always open. Truly a special person and a kind human being. I give this studio my highest recommendation to any actor in Los Angeles who doesn't mind putting in effort. If you're like most of the flaky, unreliable wannabes around town, this is probably the wrong class for you. But if you're driven and reliable, no matter where your career is, if you're working or if you've never taken a class, I honestly believe this is the class you have to be in. And if you audit the Saturday class, I will tell you the same thing in person. Now stop reading and call Wayne!! Thanks for your time.

Pros: Wayne Dvorak, Location, Cost, and Especially The Results

Cons: None

.

Wayne Dvorak is a passionate, energetic, motivating, incredibly smart teacher who truly believes in the benefits of Meisner for working film actors. In this class you learn film/TV acting via Meisner with a teacher who is seriously committed to the craft and expects the same from his students. At the same time, Wayne is very supportive and gives students the individual attention they need. Wayne??s years of acting experience, combined with a desire to teach and support other actors, has not only impacted my acting, but influenced me as a person as well.

I am in the second year of training at the Dvorak Studio and my craft is like night & day from when I started. Wayne takes the Meisner technique and gears it more toward film & television acting. The classes are small, so you get to work in every class. His feedback is honest and straight foward. It is amazing how everyone in my class has grown so much since we started!

Pros: Develop your emotional range, be truthful/real not "acting", small classes, caring teacher

Cons: If you are not committed to developing your craft, it is not for you.

Since I'm taking acting seriously, I joined Wayne Dvorak's Acting Studio to learn the tried and true, traditional two-year Meisner technique. Wayne's coaching is true to the Meisner method, a two-year development process which builds real actors. I am learning the tools and techniques to develop a lifelong career in acting. Wayne develops every aspect, analysis, diction, vocal training, script analysis, cold reading, improv, memorization techniques, how to access emotions, how to develop characters; in short everything I need to know in order to fully prepare for an acting role while offering the most believable and real performance possible.

Cons: I can't think of any; Wayne's class is everything I hoped for in an acting class!

SEE BUSINESS WEBSITE AT: www.actingcoachdvorak (dot) com. REVIEW: I've been with Wayne Dvorak for acting instruction for a year. Soon, I will be moving onto the 2nd year of his two-year Meisner program. Mr. Dvorak is a caring and thorough Master Meisner acting instructor whose studio follows the techniques and programs of New York City's Neighborhood Playhouse and Sanford Meisner. He offers a comprehensive two-year Meisner program that starts you out with exercise work that builds on itself through levels. Each year you also work on four, 15-20 min. scenes, spaced throughout the year, by working with an assigned partner -- you first memorize the scene, next work with your partner in bouncing it off each other, then you put up the scene for a critique. You might work on a scene for up to 5 weeks, deepening the complexities of subtext, emotions, connection, style, character, and later adding blocking and setting. Mr. Dvorak requires a rare level of commitment in his class -- a two-year commitment, a mininum of two rehearsals per week outside of class with a partner, memorization and exploration of complex scenes and characters, and classical work in diction, breathing, voice development, and Shakespeare. Be aware -- most actors in the United States would not commit to such a rigorous program. However, your British counterparts are committing to even more rigorous programs, which is why they now win most acting and director awards these days. So, if you are serious about your craft as an actor, writer, or director -- note: for television or film ONLY -- Wayne Dvorak's class will shape you into a skilled actor who will understand scripts, know who you are and how to infuse that into your acting, know unquestionably how to act with depth, and how to book parts. Once you finish your second year of instruction, he also has an excellent professional program available.

Pros: one-of-a-kind expertise that any serious actor cannot pass up

Cons: none

As far as Meisner instruction goes, Wayne Dvorak is excellent. I don't think you can get much better with Meisner instruction than Wayne. You are lead through the Sanford Meisner exercises like it were Sanford Meisner.

For the beginning actor, a year of Meisner instruction is a good idea, coupled with improvisation instruction; this helps you to connect with the other actor and your emotions, become more limber and free as a beginning actor. After that, you really need to immerse yourself in a solid traditional program with Stanislavski backbone -- and that is when I recommend you work with Gregory Berger-Sobeck of The Berg Studios in Los Angeles.
