Waitress practically ignores the customers and has an attitude. Food is bland and overpriced. Tables and chairs very tacky. Mojitos were tasty, but if you want drinks just walk down the street to Saints and Sinners and avoid this place.

This place has a really nice ambiance, and my husband and I had a very nice waitress who didn't act annoyed at all, even though we came in a bit late in the evening (just as the other two tables at the restaurant were finishing). I ordered

Cons: parking spots were hard to determine versus parking for Brazil Cafe restaurant next door.

Pros: Excellent food, good portion size, fast and friendly service

Cons: Patio right on Venice Blvd.

Love the mango curry chicken and the shrimp appetizer (though the latter portion is relatively tiny - 3 butterflied shrimps). The restaurants could use nicer tables to kick up the Carribean feel of the place, and the street view to Venice

Pros: Sauces, Guava, Music

Cons: Ran out of my first order and had to change, a little slow though there was hardly anyone there

One of my favorite spots; brought some friends over and everyone loved their meals. They have a fantastic fruit smoothie, and wonderful seafood and chicken dishes.

I had never eaten what was considered caribbean food but decided to try Bmboo out and see what I was missing. The outdoor dining area was great, very comfortable. I had gotten the Bahia Shrimp and my gf got the Cancun steak. Both were excellent and very different, the spices/sauces used were very awakening and had a great bit of kick to them. It was a great change of pace, very enjoyable. Prices were a bit high but it's not a place we'd eat all that often so it was a great experience.

PROS: Great menu, outisde dining
CONS: Pricing a bit too high

Both times we have visited here, the dining area was nearly empty and that always makes us a little nervous, but both times the caribbean specialties were good and nicely presented. The service is fairly quick and friendly. The name makes us think of Asian food and we often forget this nice place is nearby..more Montego Bay than Chinese.

PROS: Good food and service
CONS: sometimes looks empty and a little forgotten

The food is tasty. This is a restaurant that rejects the notion that people do not appreciate spices and seasonings. They always accommodate my requests for extra fire!!! I have never had a bad experience here. Regardless of where I

I disagree with the previous reviewer. The food was great! My favorite was the soft shell crabs. Tasty fried plantains accompanied each entree. I highly recommend this place!

Bamboo offers Caribbean food in a casual but elegant atmosphere. The menu offers Californian variations on Caribbean dishes and goes well with the light and refreshing sangria available in fruit-filled pitchers. On nice days or evenings, the patio is also open for outdoor dining, making for an enjoyable experience.
