The dining area is small, so the wait time is a bit long, but is definitely worth the wait. The nigiris are the best- high quality and fresh! This place is by far the best sushi restaurant in the bay area. PERIOD.

Another one of those small, strip mall eateries, Yuki Sushi has all of the traditional Japonese faves: fresh seasonal sushi, bento boxes, udon and katsu dishes. The menu is about average size with lots of variety in their bento offerings. In fact, you can pick and choose different combos in your bento box. Pricing is reasonable at $8-12 for lunch entrees and $2-4 for individual sushi. I havent been there for dinner.

Yuki sushi is a great Japanese food restaurant. Everything I have had from here has been great. The service has always been exceptional and friendly and I always see people talking to the waiters and waitresses about their lives.
Excellent katsu curry. The curry is real beef curry with all the fixings in it and the katsu (chicken or pork) is delicious and fried perfectly. It's a ton of food, so I always have a doggie bag. They offer all kinds of good Japanese food that isn't always offered at other "japanese" restaurants. They have sukiyaki and nabeyaki for starts and it's served in a real hot pot with a good sauce. They have huge bento boxes which are really just two orders of the items. The teriyaki steak is real steak which they cook to order. Everything is good.
The sushi is OK. I love two things: Ikura and spicy tuna roll. Something's up with their Ikura, it just tastes weird. I eat a lot of Ikura and from Japan to Hawaii to California and something tastes wierd about it. I know it's rarely served and perhaps they let it hold too long, but it just tastes odd. I've ordered it twice thinking I may have gotten a bad batch the first time, but it was weird the second time as well. Their spicy tuna roll has mayo in it. Some kind of mayo or cream of some sort and that's just weird. Granted I've only started eating this roll when I came to California and it's only been one way before that. So I guess I'm used to a certain kind of spicy tuna roll, but it's weird to have mayo in it. And because their food is so good I hardly get much sushi. All the normal sushi is great though. Just my two favorites aren't so hot.
This place is small. I say it seats 40 at max. So there's always a line if you go at normal hours. You can do take out and I see that happen a lot since there's a long line. Besides that this is a place you should check out. It is continuously on the San Jose Mercury's best places to eat, if my review isn't convincing enou
