An oasis in a dodgy area of the city accessible from the financial district. If you can bring yourself to step over the winos on 6th avenue your palette and budget will be rewarded for the effort!

My meal was huge and delicious. I actually had enough food for a large lunch and an even bigger dinner from the meal. Also, make sure you order the iced coffee. You won't be disappointed!

Every time I eat at this place I leave super full and happy because of the generous serving sizes for really reasonable prices. Their VN Ice Coffee is a must if you're a caffeine fiend. While the neighborhood is a little sketch, it's worth well worth a try!

I can't believe Tu Lan is on Citysearch...how random. A few years ago I used to work in this area and several people kept talking about the "great Vietnamese" around the corner. I ended up going a few times with them and liked the food.

It's kind of like what being in a smoker's lung must be like - dirty, cramped, and smelly. If you don't mind grease on your seat, the floor, and everywhere else, or if eating out of dumpsters is your cup of tea, then this is the place

Tulan is a very authentic vietnamese restaurant. They serve many traditional dishes and very inexpensive. Their hours are great. They open early and close late. During lunch time, they are extremely busy. Their service is okay. Sometimes hard to get their attention. Is not in a great area, it's like a whole in the wall restaurant. But this can be overlooked by the great food they serve inside. Definitely a place to try.

Small, smokey, crowded place. I was seated infront of the cooks. I dont have a choice because I dont want to be seated on the second floor, because it was dark and confined and hot. Nothing special about the food. But the servers are great.

This place is so bad. It's cheap, but what I love about Vietnamese food-- heck any food-- is fresh ingredients. This place just serves up oily hot stuff fast and cheap. I guess it's diner-like in that respect. But man, Vietnamese food

I think all the people who rated TuLan "Highly" have got to be crazy. There are many Vietnamese restaurants in the City that are much better and in some cases cheaper. I say it's a dis-service to review this place so highly.

I have never had a bad dish here and the portions are big enough to share. The shrimp fried rice and spring rolls are a must. I would be surprised if anyone spent more than $10 here. If you get a group, convince them to splurge on the pre-set dinners.
