First Time Trying Burmese Food

Golden Triangle serves Burmese food, the only place I've seen in Southern California. Even though I live nearby, I tried it because of J. Gold's recommendation.
Judging the other reviews, it must've been good at one time, but it was horrible when I went. The garlic was burnt in their ginger salad. The seafood smelled strongly of ammonia. And the Durian ice cream was icy, not to mention putrid tasting, but that's because I don't like durian. But there's no excuse for the bad cooking.
I'd recommend this place to people dying to try Burmese food but as for myself, I will avoid.

Excellent Thai food! I went there while I was going to Whittier College. I love the mango and white rice dish to start out. They are clean and the staff is great!

love this place

Have eaten here for years. Love no. 11 and 10, and their ginger salad is to die for.
I am always bringing friends and relatives here. Love the coconut rice as well. I often order out and bring home something which just gets better over night.

Oh hells yes this is hands down my favorite place to eat in CA. Best Thai food in town. The best thing on their menu is the battered corn. You will want to eat it as the main course it's that good! The service is excellent as well!~ Don't forget to get your Thai Ice Tea with your lunch..dinner..or whatever you'll be eating there. Just go and give them your money and time. Oh and they are not too expensive! Also, it's in Uptown Whittier so you can walk up to Lovell's and get a CD or something. Or Pennylane--whatever record store you prefer!
